Clearly, the savings were not for the benefit of the people but to coerce the governors for their support (which is working) and enrich cronies.

When asked about tackling the crisis in LP, he said it was caused by government. When pushed to supply proof, he started derailing. Some Nairalanders believe he is the solution to Nigeria's problems. 1. The costal highway is not done solely by the government but a PPP. Also its not eben up to 30km. Furthermore, its only about 4% done and at this rate will take 50 years to finish cause the road passes through the creeks of the Niger Delta. We're talking of deep swamps. That's where serious construction will happen and if it will take 2 years to construct 20+km of road that's not swamp, I can't imagine how long it will take to build road in swamps. It's a white elephant project and a waste of our resources.
2. Oil subsidy isn't gone. The CBN confirmed this few months ago. The landing cost of PMS is still greater than it's selling price. And states are not solvent. According to latest reports, states have accrued domestic debts of iver 40 trillion. Also, increased allocations are just a mirage cause the intrinsic value if money has been wiped off. So, in fact, allocations are still the sane in terms of purchasing power if nit even less.

LG autonomy? That's a farce. The state governments are still in control. Also, Tinubu has been using LG funds as a tool to force governors to do his biddings. So, LG are now under Tinubu. Also, LG matter was a matter of law not savings from subsidy.

The reason we've not heard much from ASUU is that Tinubu has astronomically increased fees in all federal varsities. A lot of students have dropped out but guess what, there's money for the government and that's all that matters to your Kord and Savior.

Salaries of workers were increases generally. Even though 70k still puts people below the poverty line. The increase in salaries came with months of labor dispute and even strike. It's not like Tinubu did it by himself. He was forced to do it. Give kudos to NLC for it and not Tinubu.
