Kenya’s Nakuru County Governor, Susan Kihika, has stirred debate after revealing why she chose to give birth in the United States rather than in Kenya. Speaking in Kikuyu during a Madaraka Day event, the governor argued that it would have been inappropriate for her to be seen naked by doctors and nurses who work under her.

“All doctors and nurses are under me. Did you really want me to lay on a table with the same doctors helping me deliver?” she asked a cheering crowd, before promising to improve maternity services for women back home.

The 51-year-old Kihika recently returned to Kenya after a five-month stay abroad, where she welcomed twin babies. While she was greeted warmly by friends and supporters, her remarks about giving birth overseas have sparked sharp criticism online, with many accusing her of undermining public healthcare professionals and ignoring the concerns of ordinary citizens.

Her absence had already raised questions about political accountability, especially among constituents worried about leadership gaps during her extended leave.

Something is fundamentally wrong with the reasoning of so many African leaders. So it is the Americans that are superhumans to see your so called unclothedness. A useless jamboree she must have embarked using taxpayers monies?

So, throughout the pregnancy period didn't doctors in Kenyan attend to this woman? See how she is rubbishing the healthcare system of her country. So much for African leaders and their backward mentality. Zero accountability & responsibility, yet have stupid followers.
