He always expressed very strong views in favour of the Tinubu-led administration until recently, where he stated he wouldn't support Tinubu in 2027 despite been an APC member. He cited the President's handling of insecurity, economic hardship and non-recognition of loyalists and core supporters as reasons behind his decision.
