I greet you all specially my Ogas. My Honda Accord DC 2007 consume so much Fuel. I’ve heard that even if a car doesn’t have catalytic converter (indomie), it should consume fuel. Please can anyone tel me what the problem could be |

kunlesufyan:Nobody can tell you what it is. Buy a scanner, scan vehicle and post codes to determine the reason for the high fuel consumption |

Percival9:very reliable with bullet proof engine. Don't change your transmission fluid with anything other than original Honda ATF DW1 as the transmission is sensitive. Next is to be weary of the shaft, always replace with original parts when it is worn out china brand new alwats collapse in limited space of time. Apart from that, other known issues are very minor and are caused by wear and tear and the normal condition of our roads |

18wheeler:Check your vehicle speed sensor make sure it's working well. Also check the one at the wheel, sometimes kazeems cut the wire mistakingly and tell you it doesn't matter. Both can cause the symptoms you mentioned. |

I can smell petrol from radiator cap I have Honda Accord 2011 and have been having some problem. The car was overheating, so the gasket was changed. But 2 days after, I started the car but won't start. I took the batter to charger and was charged. The car start. Now it won't start a day after. I open the radiator cap and can smell petrol. Can it be the gasket is blown again? Or not well fixed? The engine oil cap is clean and no water in the engine |

My car AC is not very effective when the weather is hot. Even when I increase it to level 4. I drive an accord 2015. In the morning or late in the evening it's chills. That I can even run on level 1 I hear a click sound coming from the compressor, it comes on and goes off like every 20-30 seconds interval I am unsure if this is coz the weather is just hot or the AC system is weak If there is a recommended AC specialist please direct me to them |

I refilled the air conditioning gas for my Honda Civic 03 using a large bottle cylinder. However, while it was being refilled and after the refill I noticed the AC wasn't cooling properly. Is there a recommended refrigerant (gas) for a Honda Civic 03?" |

Hello guys Honda CRV 2007 Rpm is at 1500 on idle both at cold and hot D light flashing after driving the car for about 30minites ,stop flashing when ever I parked , immediately I start driving again may be 5minutes from parking the D light will be flashing, it won't stop unless I turn off Engine |
| Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by luckaz(m): 7:21pm On Jun 07, 2025 |
Androidking:Thank you But I was told the compressor is okay. |
| Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by nurey(m): 6:05am On Jun 08, 2025 |
Androidking:For the rpm scan the vehicle for codes. For the blinking D light, check the transmission fluid if it is guaged, check color. Also you may need to drain and refill with DW1 if it has not been replaced before. I would advice you stop driving vehicle to avoid damaging the transmission |

Good morning bosses I noticed my car honda DC 2006 shorts oil, I noticed this after the first oil change when the car was bought earlier this year. I used hardex 5W 20, for the first service after the car was bought, after a while I noticed the oil level reduced, I thought I bought a fake oil, I drain the oil out and used mobil 2000 but the issue still persists. Is it that the engine select oil? Anyone with solution please help!!!! Thank you |
| Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by dru23(m): 9:53am On Jun 10, 2025 |
Jaysharp:That car has been abused by the previous owner more than likely using 20w50. It is too thick for the engine, by you reverting to the manufacturer recommended 5w20 is too late ,due to weak oil seal by 20w50... You have few options here ....... 1. Start using 20w50 and observe from there. If you notice blue smoke coming from the tail pipe, the engine is on its last leg... 2. Sell the car and count your losses 3. Go look for a tokunbo engine Grade A if you can find one. And if you do make sure you use the recommended oil 5w20. |
| Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Jaysharp(m): 11:13am On Jun 10, 2025 |
Thanks boss, i really appreciate your suggestions. I was able to get across the previous user, and like you've said 20W 50 has been the oil used in the car. I'll revert back to the oil been used and check from there. Also, there's no smoke from the tail pipe yet as i constantly check it as i drive. Lastly boss, I noticed after driving a while once I step on brake at traffic light, the engine shakes/vibrates, same thing when I climb speed bump and at times this makes the engine shut down. My kazeem said engine seats are bad, and its the culprit. Can this be possible? Cos I'm tired of their trial and error method... Thank boss Much respect. dru23: |

MajorB009:The cooling fans are set to low. Thus it's spinning at full capacity.. That's the reason in holdup and AC..the temperature will surely rise.. On speed, the draft of air coming in will cool the system..but on reaching holdup..lolz. It happened to my MDX. I was at loss of words.. I cleaned, flushed and even changed radiator and even used coolant Cleaned and changed thermostat, Nothing.. Until I just stumbled on it. I just noticed that the fan speed was the same when I switched on the AC. Discovered the fuse controlling the high speed was damaged.. repaired it and the wahala disappeared.. Check the fan speed first . Make sure it's faster than the normal thermostat controlled one |

The open roof needs to be opened and the drains flushed. It might have been clogged and that's why water is overflowing into the car. Have it checked and ruled out/in as the cause. 2cribz: |

HenryWilliams:Car fans don't have low or high. I think what you actually had was one fan that was not working. If you did all you did without first checking your fans, then I have no word for you and your mechanic. |
| Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Macmilla(m): 12:09am On Jun 13, 2025 |
MajorB009:One of your fans is not working. Go and fix it. |
| Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Macmilla(m): 12:18am On Jun 13, 2025 |
MajorB009:If it only overheats when you are in slow traffic, then your fans are not working well. Be sure they are blowing in the right direction. The only difference between slow traffic and free traffic is the amount of air that flows through the radiator. Your fans are supposed to circulate air when you are not moving fast. |
| Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Macmilla(m): 12:28am On Jun 13, 2025 |
MajorB009:Oga, I'm very sure your fans are not working well. Stop giving us wrong information while expecting us to help you. YOUR FANS ARE NOT WORKING WELL. Your ECT2 sensor is what controls your fans. If it is faulty, your fans can't work. Unless your mechanic has bypassed it to make the fans run permanently then you might be having an intermittent stoppage of one fan. I'm sure you also don't have a thermostat. Bypassing the ECT2 sensor to make the fans run permanently will overwork the fans. This will make them wear out fast. One or both fans may be stopping when hot and you might not know. Fix your ECT2 sensor and watch your fans closely. |
