sanima770:Your response demonstrates your incredible naïveté as it relates to sexual preferences. And that's where your lot fail, all the time. Having different sexual preferences is not culture. You hear? Let me repeat it again, so you can drill it into your hollow skull. Nothing about sexual preference suggests differing cultures. Differing religion may suggest cultural differences; traditions may also suggest cultural differences. But nothing, nothing about sexual preferences suggests culture. It's not cultural to be gay or lesbian. People are innately so, and that too across the world, including where you come from. But of course, your religious burden will not let you see past your naïveté. But I'm sure you don't know that anyways. Hence, the incredible bias you demonstrate in your writing above. People like you will come to Canada, expecting a free and liberal society to change for you, as it relates to sexual preferences. You really could have just stayed back in your shithole cultural bubble and not bothered to be part of the Canadian experience. You really need to grow up! |

orjohn24:The bias! Lol, jeez! How do you guys think at all? Your post is dripping with so much bias, you really need to check yourself. And it's so sad to see that it's often black people like you who do this. The same black people that were once objects of discrimination, who you would think would understand the experience deeply enough to care about others who are being marginalized. Mehn, you guys need to grow up and fast too! |
| Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by sanima770: 7:31am On Jun 06, 2025 |
NuCypher:Your whole rant shows the same kind of intolerance you’re accusing others of. You accuse others of bias while vomiting out sweeping generalizations about religion, culture, and immigrants. Who do you think you are, gatekeeping the "Canadian experience" like it's your personal inheritance? Let me educate you: Canada thrives on diversity of thought, of culture, of beliefs — not just on one-dimensional sexual identity politics that demand conformity. You're clearly so drunk on your own self-righteousness that you can’t see the hypocrisy in calling for inclusivity while spitting on people’s deeply held values. You say sexual preference isn’t cultural? Then why are Pride parades packaged and exported like cultural festivals? Why is disagreement labelled as hate? You can’t demand blind applause and then scream "intolerant" when someone dares to disagree. That’s not inclusivity that’s ideological bullying. Your cheap insult about “shithole cultural bubbles” clearly shows your bigotry. If anyone needs to grow up, it’s the one who thinks tolerance only works their way. Grow up! |

sanima770:You are a homophobe Just like most of yall shithoole mentality ppl Yes there is diversity of thought And yes you have a choice NOT to participate What is NOT acceptable is Homophobia manifesting in ANY form A good number of Nigerians have gotten into trouble here because of their big mouth when it comes to this topic |
| Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by sanima770: 8:50am On Jun 06, 2025 |
RodgersAkpafu:Throwing around “homophobe” just because someone disagrees with you is lazy and dishonest. Disagreement isn’t hate unless you believe free thought equals violence. Calling people “shithole mentality” just exposes your own bias. You push tolerance, but only when it fits your agenda. That’s not inclusion ! it’s hypocrisy. Freedom of thought goes both ways. Labeling every opposing view as hate is a weak way to silence people. Do better bros ![]() |

I have never seen a real Canadian complaining about the pride month, so what's the fuss about it nah. Immigrants sha, una own too much 😀 |
| Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by clayfounder: 10:15am On Jun 06, 2025 |
oluayebenz:Education truly isn’t a scam becos did you even read the conversation before jumping in and forming an opinion? Where exactly did you see anyone complaining about Pride Month? Someone asking to be excluded isn’t a crime, it’s a personal choice. |
| Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by oluayebenz: 11:15am On Jun 06, 2025 |
clayfounder:See this nescient forming woke... Sense should tell you that some already taking it too far Why am I even responding to this naive |

clayfounder:The implicit message in the first person I quoted was homophobic It's oozing out and can't be hidden It's one thing to say you don't want to participate That's your right But when you start tagging the LGBT as people who "play victim" That's all the implicit message I need to know that such person IS A HOMOPHOBE I'm not ashamed to point out homophobes to be dealt with (did this twice while I was in uni, one Nigerian and one Pakistani, and they were dealt with, no regrets). Same way I point out racists as well. Make una keep una homophobia for Nigeria We don't need such here in the West. |
| Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by RodgersAkpafu: 1:07pm On Jun 06, 2025 |
oluayebenz:don't mind them I trust Canada and UK sha US has gone rogue Any outward homophobic behavior, and you get the hammer on your coconut head Yeye people |
| Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by RodgersAkpafu: 1:08pm On Jun 06, 2025 |
oluayebenz:So because "some people are taking it too far" (according to your yeye logic) then the pride month should not be held right? Or we should not recognise the significance of it when I see Nigerians using "woke" I just know that it is a right wing media victim You don't even know what the word "woke" means |

RodgersAkpafu:Anybody reading all these will notice you ended up proving my point. That community is always edgy, looking for the faintest of criticism to bring out their "guns" looking to fight. See how you are dashing people who disagree as homophobes left, right and center. As a Pentecostal Christian, I have critized pastors and the church significantly. I have bashed the state of the church cos of some of the nonsense some pastors are doing. I don't endorse or will never endorse everything happening in Christianity. That means I am "Christainphobic" since I'm also critical of the church. Anyway I don't care about the homophobic tag one bit. I no send Anybody papa. I will NEVER advocate discrimination against anybody irrespective of who they are but I will never ENDORSE that shit. If that community can't accept that fact, na una sabi afterall I also have the right not to accept something |
| Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by funkyy598: 2:16pm On Jun 06, 2025 |
Kenn55:Exactly and that’s the real issue.Disagreement is not the same as hate. Choosing not to endorse something or an act doesn’t mean you wish harm on anyone. But the moment you say, “I don’t support this, but you have the free will and freedom to live how you choose as long as it doesn’t infringe on my rights,” you’re immediately labelled as homophobic and that’s simply unfair!! |
| Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by RodgersAkpafu: 3:24pm On Jun 06, 2025 |
Kenn55:The last paragraph is your own cup of tea tbvh Nobody cares what the f... you believe or not believe Just keep your homophobia to yourself If you don't like what they do That's your life, but homophobia in any form has zero tolerance I DARE you to openly be homophobic or even implicitly act homophobic Then see what happens to you afterwards Religious twats ![]() |

funkyy598:The inplicit message is Homophobia Let's be real What is that silly talk about "they like to play victim" That is the line that gave that bush man homophobe away.... I for example am not a religious guy While I was in Nigeria and I work in offices, I just let people do their opening and closing prayer, but keep me out of it One thing I'll never do though is to say that these religious guys are "playing victim" or "wasting our office time" or any snide comment to that effect I just understand that that is what comes with living in a "religious" country and I manage It's very simple and is common sense |

Kenn55:Bro, just ignore them. It's always the same pattern , you can't express your own opinion without them going on the offensive. Honestly, I'm no longer surprised, especially now that some in the group are identifying as cats or wearing dog collars, claiming to be dogs. When a human being starts identifying as non-binary, a cat, or a dog and when some men start dressing as women just to gain access to female bathrooms what do you expect from such a confused group of people.Let's just drop the topic. Time will tell. In 20 to 30 years, we'll see where all this deception has led humanity, and whether truth or falsehood will prevail! |

Kenn55:If you're a young man and you've never been to Pride parade in Toronto, trust me you don’t know what you’re missing! I went last year, and the streets were full of fresh naked babes young, old, slim, thick all walking around . It was a whole vibe! And This year’s Pride falls on a Sunday again. Lord forgive me, but I might just skip church that day to go enjoy some premium ikebe live and direct ![]() |

eniola1010:Hello, hope this is not too late. 1) I drive a sedan, I realize that winter tires are really helpful, I have never been stuck in snow. If I am grounded, that means the whole city is shut down because of significant amount of snow. Some people say if you have an AWD, winter tires may not be necessary - I have no experience with AWDs. It is annoying to switch tires every Oct/Nov and May (May long weekend is usually when I switch out the winter tires). Costco offers one of the best price around especially if you bought both sets of tire from them. There are adverts for this service on Facebook marketplace, caveat emptor. 2) Speaking of fb market place, you can set a reminder for the type(s) of car you want - immediately it is posted, you are alerted to go check it out. It is a competitive market for good deals. I have good experience buying a vehicle there - private seller, wanted their cash and it was a Sunday. Ensure your car inspector is ready at short notice. Also, ensure your account is well funded. You may have to make transfer via your online banking (especially on a weekend when bank branches are not open). Private sellers may need the money immediately and not want to wait. Some one mentioned sourcing your carfax report yourself - this is very good quality advice. Look through the report and ensure that it is well serviced, high or low mileage is neither here nor there, it is the every 5k miles/6- months servicing that matters especially for makers like Toyota. 3) Please refer to the last line above. Goodluck out there. |

Sheron50:You dont need to participate. Also let them know it is against your own moral believe. Yes you can do it politely, informing them with the fake smile that you're not interested. Person put pride flag on my table at work. I shredded it in front of everyone. No be by force to participate. They know my stand ;DL If it was the other way round. Dm go do worst. A white british friend decorated the office during christmas, someone went to report saying they dont like it. She had to pack everything comot. Kan ko si danu. ![]() |

The kind of workd people use to describe themselves her says so much about how they think and interract with the outside world. I used to think it's the new arrival syndrome many plagued with on arrival to the west but it's become more obvious it's a deeper complex issue of self-hate and deprecation. In other news, I see Elon is the latest discardee -more would definitely follow. Biko when would the Indians start getting it hot hot? Trump is almost 6 months in ooo |

jedisco:Apparently you are taking indirect shots at me Funny lad That said Apparently you are not following the conversations on twitter These fucking pajeets are getting their ass handed to them again and again by the MAGA cohort they are trying so hard to win their love. I can drop many references to that effect, but if I do that, we will mess up this thread like we did last year, so imma shelve it. It is clear for those who have the eyes to see, that these fellows who pedestalised themselves as the "model migrants" have been told off by the MAGA racist cohort that they are trying to feel among with I was so ashamed when following the riots One Indian twàt was trying to say that Indians > Mexicans and the MAGA cohort AGAIN descended on the guy and the Indians who wer trying to defend the guy. I. sure you jedisco would have gone to defend them and prolly had yourself "shredded" by those rabid ppl.Make una continue to dey bury head for sand Issorait. H1B reform that Indians say them go push for Where is the reform? Abolishment of country quotas nko? Where e dey? All those their "demands" none have even made it Congress, and no congressman will incur the wrath of the MAGA base that put them there to satisfy pajeets.... So within the context of what I said last year, it is playing out in real time already. The model minority status they THOUGHT they had, they are being "cleared" (like we say in Nigeria) that its non existent Why are they no longer gloating and turned to puppy mode compared to how they were in the wake of the Trump election win? lmao The only people btw with self hatred are the ones who are defending people that don't regard then as equal humans but beneath them Like you did last year with awon pajeet I'm not one to call out people "legbe legbe" I do it "in your face" ![]() |

MicheaD:What is the correlation between this drivel you posted and the LGBT community? Or you don't have the common sense to distinguish between the LGBT community and what you just posted? Fûcking shíìthole Citizens Sha no enter wahala with this una shytehole mentality sha It's a free world to have your beliefs sha, that I. give to una. But open homophobia? Well... and to that last statement that you made The LGBT community has been around since time immemorial. Roman Generals (some were gay) Even the King James bible yall read was endorsed by a gay man (maybe bi sef) Alan Turin was gay etc what makes you think the next 20 to 30 years will be radically different from the thousands of years before that una funny gan |
