If we now add Rivers of which we all know he won, it will be 13 states for him, atiku 12 and Tinubu 11

Presidential elections is never about winning the highest number of states but winning the highest votes and getting the spread, that is what Tinubu calculated on while obi was fixated on winning Lagos and more states.
Again, you can win without core north only if you win the entire south massively which obi failed to do. In 2003 obj won the entire south massively, won north central while losing core north. Gej replicated this in 2011. Obi won SE massively, struggled to win SS but lost NC. Apart from Taraba , he failed to get 25% in any core northern state. Tinubu won three core northern states and even though kwankwaso won Kano, Tinubu buried Atiku in Kano. Atiku won core north overall by less than 100k votes which was useless. I don't think Tunibu stand a chance as far as the North is concerned. I am from and currently living in the North. Tunibu's policies were all well intended but really misfired and the people are bearing the brunt of the policies's miscalculations. People are really suffering more due to high cost of living. The only ppl smiling in the North are elderly politicians, businessmen and large scale farmers. unemployed and defendants youth that made up more than 70 percent of the Northern population are poor and angry with the government. Not because they are lazy but they don't know where to start:

Its fact that Tunibu did better than Buhari on banditry in the North West. Because Buhari's government never even acknowledge their existance despite that his state is one of the epicenters of banditry. But Buhari did well fighting Boko Haram. The reality now is the insecurity bedeviling the North and it seem Tunibu not really capable defeating it. It is dragging the North backwards like never before and this is compounded by Tunibu policies. So people in the North have long stop counting on Tunibu to rescue it and has loose hope on democracy entirely. It is system that benefits the very few. North have very high expectations on Buhari and he woefully failed the North. Tunibu policies have plunged millions into poverty and there no hope of rescue and the insecurity is everywhere in the North. When you have to travel it's like a sure death sentence. People in the villages are being ruled by the criminal groups because government presence or support is zero.

1] I appreciate your insights as stated in your post. What specific part of the North are you talking about? The entire 19 states in the Old Northern Nigeria Region?

2] Second, just to be very CLEAR, there's NO policy miscalculations in Tinubu's policies. When you carry out major subsidy removals and economic turnarounds around the world, it usually affects the masses and others. Nigeria was embarrassingly living a LIE and was using the money (millions of dollars) it didn't have to defend the Naira and prop up the exchange rate. The petrol subsidy too was taking away money from key infrastructure and development. A lot of these things are NOT understood by a lot of economic illiterates and functional illiterates.

Many past Presidents ran away from removing this highly notorious petrol subsidy (introduced by those corrupt military dictators back in the day and corruption crept into NNPCL) so as NOT to lose elections and Goodluck Jonathan who tried to introduce subsidy removals in 2012 did NOT plan for it properly because there was NO immediate alternative existing new refinery (such as Dangote Petrochemical Refinery in Lagos State) OR a plan to build one until the protests in Lagos, Kano, and other cities against the petrol subsidy removal started! I ALSO remember that some of Sani Abacha's children even imported toxic fuel through their companies into Nigeria back in the 1990s and the cronies of these Military dictators and politicians ALSO CLEARLY benefited from these subsidy scams.

SOLUTIONS:
Now, a lot of reforms have taken place in the last 2 years and all the States Governors have more money available to them for spending on major projects and the multiple exchange rates have been practically eliminated. Why are some of the Governors lazy and NOT active in stimulating local agriculture like the Kaduna State Governor (and the FG initiatives) has done in Birnin Gwari area where the Fulani bandits menace has been eliminated and the local Kaduna farmers in Birnin Gwari have become Naira billionaires with several sacks of agro-produce harvested after 10 years of NOT farming in Birnin Gwari. I have videos of interviews done on TVC'S "Journalists Hangout" with Babajide Kolade-Otitoju who is from Kogi State but speaks Hausa language showing the hard working farmers happily revealing how much the have individually made in billions in Birnin Gwari. It's amazing when you have a dynamic Governor like Governor Uba.

Agriculture and security are key BUT agriculture and food security, including general security from banditry are localized issues and this is where the Governors are messing up by protecting the LARGELY Fulani bandits because most of the far Northern State Governors are Fulanis Governing Hausaland! Angry Hausawas themselves are complaining in videos that foreign Fulani bandits are killing them and taking over their ancestral lands in Sokoto, Zamfara, Katsina, etc. The Governors of these indigenous Hausa States are Fulanis and they are NOT taking urgent action to stop this nonsense that has spilled into Benue and Plateau.

ONLY an urgent constitutional amendment under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will put an end to this nonsense so that the indigenous Hausas (who are over 80 million and more than the Fulas who are NOT more than 24 million in the whole of West African) can have MORE geopolitical leverage and powers to stop the Fula political hegemony which is dragging the North and Nigeria backwards. Period.


3] Third, because CNG fuel is about N250 per standard cubic feet of gas and cheaper than Dangote Petrochemical Refinery petrol cost of over N800, CNG fuel is what will crash the price of food items and transportation thereby making it cheaper and easier for the Talakawas or masses to feed well. The current Nigerian Railway trains are also about to undergo refitting into CNG-fueled trains so that trains can be used to move people and food items cheaply. It however takes some time for the construction of the CNG gas pipelines and CNG infrastructure to be finished BUT once they finish before Tinubu and Shetima finish their 4 years, the full CNG infrastructure and stations through NNPCL and other private investors such as NIPCO would be ready. NNPCL just launched the FIRST EVER CNG project in the North East of Nigeria last week in addition to some already existing in Lagos State. By 2026, Dangote too has planned that all the Dangote trucks will fully run on CNG as reported last week on this Website. This will crash the price of Dangote products as well from cement, to pasta, to rice, etc, and more because transportation haulage costs is what makes food costs to be high aside from a few factors like insecurity.


I hope you will benefit from some of my deep insights here and maintain positivity till people begin to see the effects of rthese reforms by the governments.

The only state in the North West that feel relatively secure is Kano state. Let me tell you a little story. There emerged a new bandits group in my state called Lukurawa, people that have an encounter with them says they are foreigners. What they do is going from village to village looting livestock and herd of cattle. It you dare raise a finger you get shot on the spot. They made rules that threatened the fragile agricultural economy of the area. They forbid woman from going to farms. They killed youngmen on sight. And will offer 1 million Naira any person ready to join their group. Just two months ago they pillaged my mother's village. Now it is ghost town everybody has left. This is just a microcosm of our reality. You have heard how Turji is massacring people and displacing and entire communities and how he levy heavy taxes on villages. In the North East the Boko Haram are making a comeback only Tunibu loyalists are denying it. In the North Central you must have heard mass killings in Jos, Benue and Southern Kaduna just recently.
Secondly. Tunibu did indeed made policy error for not taking into consideration of so many things. You can't just remove fuel subsidy for an import dependent economy like Nigeria overnight without fatal consequences. And at the same time floating Naira. This ultimate disaster for the masses. What Tunibu should have done first is to ensure 90 percent of corruption are eliminated in system. This is where the insatiable demand for dollar largely originated. This how they hide their loots in hard currency. So also unnecessary items of luxury should be banned. This are some of the ways to protect the Naira. At current exchange rate of 1600 Naira to Dollar is not real there is a lot of distortions and errors. Tunibu should have look for ways to diversify the economy not to solely continue to rely on oil as a major forex earner. Tunibu just keep on shifting of the burden financing his administration on already downtrodden masses by removing subsidy and floating Naira. There is no where in the world where subsidy is removed in similar way as Tunibu did. Every was abrupt and so sudden. Middle class families wake up to find they are poor overnight. This is Tunibu action. And you expect ppl smile and vote him again.
Thirdly. Tunibu recently claimed to have tripled the state allocations and constituency allowance of the lawmakers. Yeah its true. He believes the money will be used in executing more and more projects. This is very wrong. He forget that the money will be looted and squandered without consequences. You know this true. I can go on and on. But I don't have much time now.
