There's a standard for this. The maximum should be 30% of your annual salary. But, for me, 12 to 15% of your annual salary should be able to cover your rent. If not, you're on a long thing and should be looking out for a less expensive house rent

If you be business man, you can even get the money for your rent In one deal, while a salary earner will save up his salary for the same purpose

Not every landlord wants to milk their landlord dry just because most landlords are insanely inflating their rent.. There are some landlord that are still merciful to their tenants... At least my dad still collects 350k for two bedroom flat in Idimu

In Nigeria most things are above the average man's means. Does she want them to live in a mud house? This simply shows how overpriced rent are. Most real estate agency are after yahoo boys not the actual working man. We need low income housing in Nigeria badly.

My rent is 2.5million per annum but,every March I just reserve my rent before 20th of the day,I pay my landlord.

What was the magic I did?i personally increased my earning power and I don't depend on one income for survival especially in this APC regime.

U must find a way to save if not,u can't retire well.

Wow for Idimu, 350 P/A..?? Omo your dad try ooo for that Idimu come back to egbeda, Ipaja come command, Ikola, oke isagun enter Ajasa...I still look for apartment as I moved this past December...most 2 bedroom flats for this areas, the least I got was 450...some 550, 500, 600 up to 700 P/A...I later settled for a room nd parlour sef..my kid kuku never reach 5, 300 P/A
