Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, brought unexpected excitement to Abuja on Tuesday with an impromptu dance display during the formal inauguration of the refurbished Abuja International Conference Centre, now renamed the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, News360 Nigeria reports.

The lively ceremony, held in Nigeria’s capital, saw President Bola Ahmed Tinubu commend the upgraded facility, describing it as a “beacon for Nigeria’s emerging global engagements.” The president also applauded the FCT Ministry for successfully completing the renovation project within its set timeline and budget.

After President Tinubu’s remarks, Wike thrilled onlookers with celebratory dance steps that quickly became one of the highlights of the event. His cheerful display drew loud applause from guests, including Senate President Godswill Akpabio and other dignitaries, adding a lighthearted touch to the occasion.

The modernised conference complex now features larger exhibition halls, state‑of‑the‑art meeting rooms, and a fully equipped media centre, positioning it as a preferred venue for major diplomatic, corporate, and cultural events in the capital.

The renamed Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre is expected to enhance Abuja’s standing as a hub for international conferences and strategic gatherings.
