I thought you also needed state of origin or local government letter.

For name correction on your birth certificate just approach the nearest NPC office.

NPC cannot or does not issue state of origin certificate or local government letter.

Get the one from the state you originated from. If the local government area you reside is that of your state, you can go ahead and get it from there.

I paid for my passport renewal in July last year because I mistakenly thought my passport would expire in January this year, whereas it actually expires in January next year. I tried to reschedule the appointment, but wasn’t able to. I’d like to know if I can still complete the capture process using that same application.

Resized the passport. Google to get resizing websites. It should work if it's a perfect picture.

I want to ask if these will affect my application. So I already created one application with reference number but I was stuck at the picture upload so I saved and exit and I was using the test upload to check the pictures then when I got one that was accepted I saw click here to renew then it opened another application with new reference number. Is there a way to delete the old application or it won't affect

So interesting stuff happened today at Kaduna Passport Office.

I paid online and went for my capturing at the Kaduna Passport Office.

On getting there, they told me to meet a "Self Payment Desk Officer", I met the guy and he was telling me I had to pay N7,000.

"N7000 for what exactly?" I queried. I did not get any further response and was told if I don't pay I would not even be attended to and my documents were handed back to me in a dismissive way.

So, I did what every Nigerian who reads this should begin to do, I called the Nigerian Immigration Headquarters in Abuja and laid a complaint (09121477092)

I was told to wait some minutes as they were trying to contact them officially but it seemed they were having issues with the network, so I was told to give the phone to the errant officer.

Lol, this guy started saying "Yes Sir, Yes Sir, Yes Sir", he was told to go give the phone to their overall boss there in the Kaduna Passport Office.

I was later called to their boss office, I saw the errant officer standing by the wall, his arms behind him and him looking like a wet puppy. Their boss wasn't looking too happy.

Their boss told me to recount my ordeal and I was told to go wait that I would get my passport today (I didn't see that coming).

I even skipped the queue for the actual capturing, it was funny the way they all carried my matter for head.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I got my Nigerian Passport within 1 hour of waiting. They were all visibly shaken.

The Nigerian Passport is your Right, you don't have to pay anybody to get it.

Good evening so I went for capturing today at alimosho office Lagos and I took along all the documents I uploaded and they asked for everything and am done with it very quick and easy . No bribe no extortion.... On the confirmation I saw that the collection date is 25/09/2025 that's more than 6 weeks can I go there when it is 6 weeks. Also the slip says alausa Lagos whereas it is alimosho that I did it also my guarantor name on the confirmation slip isn't who I entered.

Please for renewal, after filling the form, uploading everything and paying online, do you need to book appointment for fresh biometrics again or ?
