SpatialKing:Very funny. I laughed reading this. Oga, get better information please. We are not talking about political parties in the first place. And by the way, was Raegan a Democrat? George Bush was a Republican. What about some others that you misrepresented? Read the below: “ US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) statistics show Biden oversaw 1.3 million more deportations during his first two years in office than Trump achieved during his entire first term. Obama also deported 30,000 more than Trump during his first four years. Trump’s administration deported 3.13 million people during his first term. In comparison, Obama deported 3.16 million, while Biden deported 4.44 million individuals in 2021 and 2022. The sharp increase under Biden is partly attributed to coronavirus public health measures that expedited the removal of individuals deemed “public health risks.” The Biden administration revived deportation practices reminiscent of early Obama-era policies. For the first time in more than a decade, the majority of removals under Biden involved “voluntary returns,” where migrants admitted to entering the US unlawfully but were allowed to leave without receiving formal removal orders. While Obama was frequently labeled the “deporter-in-chief,” critics have dubbed Biden the “returner-in-chief.” Under Biden, deportations have spanned more than 170 countries, potentially setting a record. When accounting for deportations, expulsions and measures to block unauthorized entries, Biden’s administration oversaw nearly 4.4 million repatriations. The figure already surpasses totals from any single presidential term since George W. Bush’s second term, which reached 5 million. The increased enforcement, however, has contributed to an immigration court backlog of 3.6 million pending removal cases. Trump’s deportation numbers during his first term lagged significantly behind Biden’s. Daily border encounters at the end of Biden’s tenure ranged from 1,200 to 1,400, compared to 2,253 encounters logged in the first three days of Trump’s second term, according to DHS data. In his second inaugural address, Trump vowed to declare a national emergency at the US southern border and pledged to halt all illegal entries. “We will begin the process of returning millions and millions of criminal aliens back to the places from which they came,” he said. Trump’s administration has already resumed deportation flights, repatriating migrants to countries such as Brazil, Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama and Venezuela. Immigration raids targeting undocumented migrants have also been conducted in the states of Arizona, California, Texas, New York and Colorado”. Now, Trump has promised to deport between 11 and 15 million people in his second term. The numbers have started counting. I laugh at your myopic information. By the time he’s through with his second tenure, he would have far surpassed Biden and Obama. Nobody says that it is appropriate to reside in another country without the requisite documents. You must understand that obtaining the necessary documents are processes that take time. Many undocumented persons are in the processes of obtaining their permanent residencies. Many with valid visas have been reportedly deported. Many legitimate Americans have been faced with threats of deportations. Too many cases are in court. Citizenship by birthright, the same process that kept Trump and his children in America is under threat. It is their country, it is their business. Do you even read wide or ask questions about events in the world? Or you just read headlines and draw your conclusions. |

| Re: Nigerians In USA Even With Documents Are Being Careful by 360command: 1:15pm On Jun 11, 2025 |
luminouz:her old visa was still valid(1month before expiring) I never said expired visa. She had no DUI, no criminal record. Her case to me is shocking.. Here on nairaland, I made a comment knowing someone who committed a big criminal offense though he had mental issues back in Nigeria. When he got caught, lawyer argued showing several proof of him having mental cases from Nigeria. They won the case. Immigration was there to pick him up, they argued on the case, they won. Though he was sent to a psychiatric home for rehab. Fast forward, he is out,has his documents. Why am I saying this? We all have different stars.. the guy who committed an offense, 9 out of 10 people said, "Hin own don finish, dem go send am back", I even thought he would be sent back but they never did. Meanwhile, that girl who has a clean record, on a student visa, wanted to renew but denied and subjected for deportation. |
| Re: Nigerians In USA Even With Documents Are Being Careful by luminouz(m): 1:19pm On Jun 11, 2025 |
360command:And who did you know she has a clean record? Are you ICE? You know her DS-160 replies? Her social media posts? Everyone who was ever cancelled had a reason for it...a legal basis for cancelling their visas. Even as students, if you had a clean record, you'd be given a lawyer who would fight your case by your school I have seen other students go for visa renewal in Mexico and Dominican Republic and they came back successfully just a month ago. And you are talking about stars? Just tell me another thing biko. |

DeltaOil:This is SOOO stoopidly wrong! I hate it when Nigerians and people who recently knew or moved to the US voice absolutely dum.b opinions like this one! Repubs know most of their followers and people like you have low IQ and will say anything while robbing your generations blind! You have no idea that without landmark laws passed by republicans, there were no rights for your kind to be in the US & no protections for your kind - non-white, women, or “different”! What is “America”, that most of the world really gravitate towards? Overwhelmingly democratic states, and republican states with sizeable democratic cities! California, New York, Chicago, WA, MA, etc. Most of the ignorant people who croon about Repub ideas will never live or even visit those sh.ithole states but will run to CA, NY, etc. Why? If Repub ideas that magats & ignorant commenters support are good, then Arkansas, Oklahoma, Alabama, etc. should be inventing & leading in everything and your ilk groveling just to live or visit there. Do you? Have you? Even the ones living in those Repub states live off the equalization payments (sent to them by democratic states). Stop commenting rubbish if you have no clue what you are talking about!! |
