That cow use to cost no more than 300-400k in southern Nigeria,a few years back.The increase in price of transportation is a big factor affecting the sudden rise in the cost of foods including cow meat (beef).

Not here in SW. I priced cattle yesterday, small ones that are still around one year old are 500k, 600k naira. That one above would go for 1.4 million naira in SW

Where's the proof? Any manipulator can just put up fake info just to push a certain narrative. If you are on a fact finding mission or research or market survey, learn to always provide verifiable info with proofs.

That cow is more than the stated amount regardless of location. Even in Mubi cattle market, it's more than that.
