They have done this same thing to me. I paid for a flight, got there, they said it was delayed but I could see a plane being loaded for the same destination and it departed at the right time. What they simply did was shift me to the next flight and lie that my original flight was delayed.

Air Peace have really lowered the bar of Air travel in Nigeria to the lowest ebb, almost lower than mediocre, sad truly sad, I heard they even branch other destinations to pick passengers like molue.

Evidence of 500,000 transferred will give veracity to this story.

It sounds reasonable as Nigerians are greedy people and they can do the things he described in his story.

Hope u guys are not expecting Oshiomhole a politician to tell the truth here.

He's not lying. I already knew something fishy was going on from their own story earlier in the morning, where they claimed he got there late at 6:10 a.m for a 6:30 a.m flight and that the flight had left.

Because, why would the flight leave ahead of schedule?

All this airlines operators need to be check, they are taken the advantage of ordinary Nigerians. It seems that Nigerian Aviation Authority is doing nothing to check them. If they can do this to a sitting senator, what of us we common citizens, may God help us

Well in as much as there are two sides to a story. I find it hard there's any agency in Nigeria that will hold Oshimole waiting while at the same time allowing other Nigerians to pass. I can beat my chest to say it will never happen.

From deductive inference I am inclined to believe Oshiomhole came late and felt since he has checked in offline he would be given a free pass but efforts trying to explain to him it's not done that way like a typical politician he tried to show power. All the talk about giving someone #500k and fighting for others na pure "shalaye". Bullcrap and horse shit.

He needs to be sanctioned no matter what by the airline and it's regulators. There are ways he can channel his concern in a civil manner than behaving like Agbero. He is a disgrace and shame to him. He shouldn't be associated with such kind of reckless attitude. Is he not the one that told a hawker to go and die.

Sentiment aside, he was fighting for other common people, and again the plane supposed to move by 6:30am and according to to him he was there by 6:05am. Let's all come together and fight our oppressors.

Airpeace airline again. They did same thing to me in Dubai in 2022, I arrived exactly one hour before flight schedule time. The counter was closed in my presence despite the fact that I have checked in online. I even begged the Naija guy who happened to be their manager. He refused, I had to book hotel for another 48hours and pay extra money for another ticket. I expect more from them.

What I see in all this is that “una no fit take what una dey dish us”. It’s a case of 2 fighting

He lied about the time he arrived...he thought he could arrive 5 mins to take off and board the flight.

He claimed to have checked In online.

He asked why they closed the gate at 6:05 for a 6:30 flight...as if there are no rules...

Then I diverted attention from himself claiming others were in the same shoes and their sits were being sold to others on the spot...then he gave a woman 500k...

All lies..

Let's tell ourselves the truth. There's more to it than what this man is telling. It's always two sides of a coin. That's what they say!

Short man syndrome......stop patronizing Air Peace. Simple.

I don't know if this variation of the story is true, but unfortunately there is truth to this type of act by Nigerian airlines.
I've seen this similar situation first hand, and have unfortunately (didn't know at the time) benefited for it on a last minute ticket.
I've also had something similar happen where a gate agent wanted, I think ~300k to let me board my flight when I arrived to the airport too close to the departure of my flight. Told him to screw himself and sorted him the next day, but truthfully ended up costing me more than that to catch the flight the next day.

I always try to get to the airport early or use an airport agent.
