I got a new Starlink kit from Jumia around March 2024 and ever since then, I have not been able to activate it ever since.
I reached out to Starlink and after more than one month of back and forth, I was told I can't activate in Lagos because they are at capacity in Lagos and Abuja.

Just yesterday, October 23, 2024, I decided to turn it on again and I got 1-hour free internet on it(got about 150mbps download) and since it was browsing, I attempted to activate it again, though now expensive at 75,000 a month, I got immediate error after inputting my Lagos address that the service is not available in my location.
I attempted with an Address in Oyo and it took me to the checkout page but my fear is, if I proceed to activate with the Oyo state address (hopefully it goes), won't I be locked to that region only and not able to use it here in Lagos where I need it actually?

Please I would appreciate any help from anyone with a similar experience or got a way out of this.

If you change your location, you'll be able to use it.
Lagos Abuja Kano is mostly now at capacity.... Funny enough Ogun state is still free like bird😁😁

Don't try it. It won't work if you activate it in Oyo

You will be locked to that region.

I couldn't get the residential plan as it was full. I'm stuck on the roaming plan.

The roam option is no longer available even for oyo

I'm no longer subscribing till next year. The speed is now poor and unstable.
Starlink is launching new satellites next year Jan so residential and roaming plans will be available by then

Residential and roaming plans are not available for now. Even the business plan is not going through. Don’t attempt to activate with another location cuz it won’t work. Just hold on…

Ogun statw is not out of capacity, residential is not working.

Unless you want to bypass it, there are people doing it.

Omo everywhere dun full for ogun ooooo, it affected my purchase decision unfortunately.
