Buhari backed Osinbajo if not he won't put in to contest primary. But Tinubu influence is over the bar, I'm sure you could recollect how many people stepped down for him.
Are you drunk? It was all about money and clout, and you think if Buhari had thrown his clout and FG money behind Osonbajo, Tinubu would have come close?? Plus Osinbajo was actually more popular

They were even mocking Tinubu then.. Today he who laugh last, laugh best. They ganged up, created chaos ,spit nonsense thinking they can change destiny. Is God not great?
They really ganged up.
- Naira redesign
- Endsars and attempt at destroying Lagos
- Fuel Scarcity.
- "Religious war" campaign..
- Ethnic gang up.
- Close associates and those he helped into power worked day and night to stop him, while working with his life long, sworn enemies ..
Eventually, it all amounts to nothing. Again, is God not great?

I can still recollect how Tinubu was really sidelined during Buhari's era. Man was totally schemed out and he almost lost political relevance. Some people even predicted he was on his way out of APC to SDP. But here he is today, he is the president of the federal republic of Nigeria. This is a big lesson for those who care to learn from others.
The sole focus of blacks on politics rather than government services and utilities as well as public policy matters is why we are inferior to equally endowed fellow Homo sapiens of other races.

How has ebilokan’s stranglehold on 20 million Lagosians and now on 200 million Nigerians helped anyone apart from his greedy self huh

May Day: Hunger, unemployment, insecurity real— Tinubu

According to him: “The theme demands our collective attention and serves as a stark reminder of the need to create an environment where every worker feels safe, valued, and empowered to contribute to the growth and prosperity of our nation. As your President, I assure you that this administration is committed to creating such an environment for the common good.”

On the economic hardship, he noted that while it is a global phenomenon, its effects on Nigerians are particularly severe.

Tinubu said: “I am aware of the peculiarities of the economic hardship Nigerians face—rising living costs, hunger, insecurity, unemployment, and the loss of livelihoods. These challenges are real and demand definitive solutions, which I am poised to address as your President.

You are new to politics obviously.
During Buhari’s era Tinubu was taunted, they said how can he cloak leadership when he’s not head of state.

They told him he can lay claims to ACN and not APC.

BAT kept quiet and did his homework silently.

I have read so many divergent comments here today and one thing is clear. Some don't know but they think they do.

How can anyone contest the fact that Buhari sidelined Tinubu? it was so clear. Infact, it was when Buhari was planning for the 2nd term that he beckoned on Tinubu and asked him to accompany him on an overseas trip. Tinubu was already discussing with other parties.

Someone even said Buhari campaigned for him. The same Buhari who anointed Lawan as consensus candidate? Buhari had no choice than to campaign for his party's candidate.

Let's not be ignorant here, Tinubu just prevailed for 2 reasons;
1. Atiku could not hold PDP together. If the G5 had supported Atiku, he would have won...Period.
2. Tinubu's political sagacity to outsmart his APC detractors in winning the party's ticket and also consolidating by reaching a deal with G5.

And the big lesson is that apart from great planning, intellect and practical scheming. Gods factor is a big deal. And he gives power to whomever he wishes. People think Tinubu rigged his way in. He rigged his way in under a Buhari that never wanted him? He was able to buy all the functionalities under Buhari so easily as people thought. Na so e easy! God factor played a role that turned the Buhari’s and his element become dullards that couldn’t stop him. Else it doesn’t cost Buhari a lot to stop Tinubu.

Bro God bless you for having a sound memory not like those nitwit headless mobs.

Tinubu really suffered during that period but one thing about life is if you believe in yourself and believe in your God and focus, never fall for distraction, dissappointment and failure surely the almighty God will reward you, Tinubu is being rewarded by God and that is why God made him what he is today, he worked for it and he deserved it 100% I don't care anyone accept my statement or not.

Rubbish.

See someone painting the situation like he merited the position. The man had the machinations to become president long ago. He didn’t want to at the time. The only person in my memory of the country who gained leadership through merit was Goodluck Jonathan. Unfortunately, being a good man has nothing in common with being a good leader.
How did Jonathan gain it by merit , he was deputy governor before take over from his boss after impeachment and he was Vice President before he took over after the death of his boss. Jonathan didn’t come out to campaign for votes before clinching those positions

Maybe you were probably living in cave that time when cabals in the presidency sidelined him. Even his wife cried out that her husband has been sidelined. Even Buhari's wife, Aisha, made a similar complain. Welcome back from the cave bro. You have probably stayed too far away from civilization, that's why you are not in tune with political events in recent years. grin grin
