Why are there protests?

Are you aware you can evict a tenant from your place, but you must follow standard protocol?
They don't want to go back to Mexico
Yet they are raising Mexico 🇲🇽 flags in America

Even you will protest if they are planning to deport you to Nigeria

The point was he was legal ... but was illegally arrested ...deported and imprisoned. He has been returned by court order ...which the administration was refusing to carry out. You need to get updated on what's really happening.
He is currently facing criminal charges for all his crimes and sex trafficking

After which he will be jailed then deported again...

No sympathy for chickens who voted for KFC! There are many Nigerians / immigrant like this: castigate the people & ideas that give them standing but celebrate the people who would not even spit on them if that will quench the flames with which they are engulfed! Nigerians love America but have no clue that the America they love and see on TV is New York / California, Chicago, DC, Washington, Massachusetts, etc. Those are Democrat states run by their ideas that allow them to create many of the technologies and ideas that allow them to thrive & want to come to America or visit! Even most Americans avoid republican run states & most of the ones that cannot leave are either too poor, un-educated to get opportunities elsewhere, have old relatives they cannot leave behind, etc. This is what Repub ideas have produced - backwardness akin to that in most parts of Northern Nigeria and the poorer parts of the world! Next time someone bashes democratic ideas, just know that without mostly their work over decades you will not be able to come here legally and most of the Repub states are still held back by the curse of slave-holding and have not moved forward & likely will not for another 100 years if they continue in their backward stoopidity!

The truth is there are FAR too many. They should've never been allowed here in such grotesque numbers in the first place. I won't insert my own personal theories on why as that's not the topic of discussion here. Even Nigeria has deported several hundred illigetimate immigrants recently (I'm Black American but I am visiting Nigeria for the first time this late summer / fall for Sickle Cell Month both because I have it and because I'm a Public Health Nurse Practitioner and Non-Profit founder who wants to help develop an international bridge to help other Sickle Cell Warriors have a better quality of life and not be outcast or exiled and forgotten, referred to as witches or curses or burdens but AGAIN, I DIGRESS. It's just a topic I am very passionate about for obvious reasons.) and I wanted to do my due diligence before embarking on my trip so I came here to prayerfully ask some more in depth questions from those that actually live there.

Speaking of due diligence, it would have behooved ANY migrants that were illegitimately waved into the country under the false pretenses of last administration, under the guise that they would be here freely until they had an asylum seeker qualification hearing - should have FULLY understood they were breaking our laws, disrespecting our oaths and taking advantage of a situation that was really in all honestly attempting to take advantage of THEM...if they ACTUALLY done research on how these things worked and not somehow gathered more money than some Americans earn in a YEAR to somehow tie that in to feeling entitled to stay despite them being mostly all economic migrants who had unrealistic, oftentimes extremely entitled and misinformed expectations.

Trump's primary promise that got him elected was his reverence and assurance when it came to returning people that should've never, EVER been here in such taxing numbers and unfortunately some of the legal migrants will be collateral damage. It happens in the Dominican Republic with illegal Haitians all the time. Politics doesn't operate off of emotion. Promises made, promises delivered wasn't just a slogan....you probably don't TRULY see how much the ACTUAL majority of Americans (because the same as in Europe when it comes to them being inundated with destructive (intentionally or unintentionally) economic migrants - want the MILLIONS of people their hard work, sacrifice and TAXES and taking care of endlessly while so many are struggling themselves, homeless themselves and they are working, living in their cars...to help foot the bill for these people to live it up in 4 star hotels after they saved more than a large portion of Americans make in a year.

This is not a fantasy land and I'm not saying that they don't deserve to have a better life or access to more opportunities but we cannot carry the entire continent of Africa or South America or wherever. The same as with European countries, things were fine and immigrants were more than welcome in the past so you have to ask yourself what changed here recently. Joe Biden and Kamala never gave a shit about Nigerians or any other migrant. They were political fodder and now they're going to understand fully why some express great disdain some Americans have towards the tactics this country uses to manipulate situations for its own self serving reasons. The illusion of the American Dream perished a long time ago and I am sorry this is how they have to find out but there is strength in numbers and they should work towards building up their home countries because The US government and its people are two totally different entities...they never cares about you. I respect Trump, at least he's honest and fair. He does truly love America and what it stands for. And that, unfortunately for the millions of migrants...means they've overstayed their welcome and its time to pack it up and head home.

This Trump era are not the best of eras for Nigerians living in the United state of America as there are crackdown on immigrants currently taking place.

Even people with papers and documents are not having rest of mind currently as they can be thrown into Guatonobay with flimsy excuses.

Massive protest is ongoing for the fourth day in Los Angeles now with demonstrators not happy with the immigrants crackdown.

California and Los Angeles are like safe haven for Immigrants but it seems Trump wants to dislodge the immigrants in those cities.

I think Trump should be flexible and give those immigrants a pathway so that they can be US citizens.

Very funny. I laughed reading this. Oga, get better information please. We are not talking about political parties in the first place. And by the way, was Raegan a Democrat? George Bush was a Republican. What about some others that you misrepresented?

Read the below:

“ US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) statistics show Biden oversaw 1.3 million more deportations during his first two years in office than Trump achieved during his entire first term. Obama also deported 30,000 more than Trump during his first four years.

Trump’s administration deported 3.13 million people during his first term. In comparison, Obama deported 3.16 million, while Biden deported 4.44 million individuals in 2021 and 2022. The sharp increase under Biden is partly attributed to coronavirus public health measures that expedited the removal of individuals deemed “public health risks.”

The Biden administration revived deportation practices reminiscent of early Obama-era policies. For the first time in more than a decade, the majority of removals under Biden involved “voluntary returns,” where migrants admitted to entering the US unlawfully but were allowed to leave without receiving formal removal orders.

While Obama was frequently labeled the “deporter-in-chief,” critics have dubbed Biden the “returner-in-chief.” Under Biden, deportations have spanned more than 170 countries, potentially setting a record.

When accounting for deportations, expulsions and measures to block unauthorized entries, Biden’s administration oversaw nearly 4.4 million repatriations. The figure already surpasses totals from any single presidential term since George W. Bush’s second term, which reached 5 million. The increased enforcement, however, has contributed to an immigration court backlog of 3.6 million pending removal cases.

Trump’s deportation numbers during his first term lagged significantly behind Biden’s. Daily border encounters at the end of Biden’s tenure ranged from 1,200 to 1,400, compared to 2,253 encounters logged in the first three days of Trump’s second term, according to DHS data.

In his second inaugural address, Trump vowed to declare a national emergency at the US southern border and pledged to halt all illegal entries. “We will begin the process of returning millions and millions of criminal aliens back to the places from which they came,” he said.

Trump’s administration has already resumed deportation flights, repatriating migrants to countries such as Brazil, Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama and Venezuela. Immigration raids targeting undocumented migrants have also been conducted in the states of Arizona, California, Texas, New York and Colorado”.

Now, Trump has promised to deport between 11 and 15 million people in his second term. The numbers have started counting. I laugh at your myopic information. By the time he’s through with his second tenure, he would have far surpassed Biden and Obama.

Nobody says that it is appropriate to reside in another country without the requisite documents. You must understand that obtaining the necessary documents are processes that take time. Many undocumented persons are in the processes of obtaining their permanent residencies. Many with valid visas have been reportedly deported. Many legitimate Americans have been faced with threats of deportations. Too many cases are in court. Citizenship by birthright, the same process that kept Trump and his children in America is under threat. It is their country, it is their business.

Do you even read wide or ask questions about events in the world? Or you just read headlines and draw your conclusions.
The major reasons why undocumented migrants dontbahve their papers is because
1. Immigration laws in the USA encourage a backlog of cases, cases and court dates can be pushed to 2 or 3 or 4 dates in the future. The processes do not favor speedy resolution of cases and appeals just add to it.
Lawyers make a killing from defending clients
Appeals and other processes
2. Immigration is a political club that both parties use to fight but it is obvious they dont want reform. Stonewalling every bill .
And this affects LEGAL migration
Check timelines for Familly migration routes for consular processing..5-20years in that loop for what? Or even some employment based routes running on 2 or 3yrs. Why?
If you enter overstay , adjust status and wait on the backlog for Immigration law whilst in the US with appeals and paroles you will still get your documnets before someone outside the US MIGRATING LEGALLY will get called for visa interview

You need to provide better iniformation.

What do you mean they failed to renew her student visa?

Firstly you can not renew your student visa in the US.
you are still a student as long as you are still studying and remain in the US. You can change schools , do another degree as long as you are still studying.

The need to RENEW your student visa if it has expired only arises if you are traveling outside the US , then in that case you book an appointment and apply to renew at a US consulate outside the US by travelling there.

This is different from a F1 student visa being CANCELLED in the US

Visas are useful for BORDER ENTRY. Whilst inside the US it's your i94 that determines your status

Quite informative too. But it is the same process worldwide when one intends to process the permanent stay. It takes quite some time. Even with the Green card now at $5m, the process will remain the same. There are too many people trying to secure their documents and remain.

With the new rule since the past two or three days about compulsory registration of undocumented immigrants, what’s going to happen? There is already word out there that it is a ploy by the Trump administration to speedily arrest and deport them.

2. Can Elon Musk's children born in the US contest for America's President?

That said, how is Donald Trump an "Illegal Immigrant"? Bear in mind that first generational immigrants cannot become America's President whether legal or illegal.

Partially correct. On the topic ... just been listening to a programme related to my comment. Guests included judges ... and politicians ... defenders of the Constitution...and more. Due process is a must ...if charged everyone has the right to give his side in court. The Biden administration allowed tens of thousands of immigrants into the country...immigrants seeking asylum. Each has to have a hearing for the judge to make a decision. How many?...3.5 million asylum seekers. How many judges? 750. Try figuring out how long this will take to clear the backlog. Trump administration has been sending memos to the judges to basically deny these immigrants due process. As in.the judges must look for any mistakes or discrepancy in the application and if found...deny asylum without the person having his say in court. is Trump not operating like a dictator? We need to see where he's heading before it's too late.

Still in NYC....that part is correct . Housing development...low cost housing for low income residents. This entire area used to be desolate.... except for a huge isolated compound that used to be some sort of Federal detention centre....had high walls ...about 10 feet high and the buildings in the compound were about the same height... You can never tell what the inside was like. Now there's a huge sprawling mall ....and low cost housing ...this is yet another under construction.

Was in NY at the time you were visiting. But in MD now.A whole world of difference
