What Iran needs now is to form a great alliance with Russia..I mean military alliance..no country stands alone these days..it has been proving overtime..

Even Syria , Russia turned up with Arial strikes ,the only downside was that those Asad guys didn't want to fight hence they chickened out..

I believe they have it. Most of the artillery shell Russia is using against Ukraine come from North Korea. The drones mostly from Iran. Armoured vehicles some come from China. Last year, North Korea launched her first military spy satellite into the orbit. That was just two or three months after Kim's visit to Moscow where partnership agreement bordering on military cooperation were signed. What do you think Iran will get in return?

Only 2 fatal commercial crashes in 10 years before this despite India flying 8000 flights every day and 3 million flights every year.
That’s a safety record on par with the U.S. and EU.

India also holds FAA Category 1 status, meaning it meets the highest international safety standards.

Again, not saying Boeing doesn't have a history, however, this history (with a lot of sensationalism padded) has eroded our ability to ask questions rather than hasty generalization. Do you know the number of Airbus planes that have suffered mishaps during the same period? Boeing is the face of commercial airplanes in the world, so I can understand.

While I am sympathetic to the lives lost, I think I will wait for the black box report/ investigation. India is a developing country and like Nigeria, I will most definitely not putting it past maintenance. Na for Nigeria we see deaths from poor maintenance culture.

Piling on Boeing after a crash like this isn't right. I will wait for the investigation. Before today's crash, the 787-8 Dreamerliner had an immaculate safety and flight record. I believe this is it's first major loss, I stand corrected.

A Turkish company handles the maintenance of all Air India Boeing 787. So, even if investigation reveals maintenance issue to be the cause, it won't be because "India is a third world country" like you are suggesting.

Your suggestion that India has a culture of shoddy aircraft maintenance due to India being a third world country is disproven by the fact that such air crashes aren't common in India despite India being the world's third largest aviation market AND it is also the world's fastest growing aviation market.

I clearly indicated “may” and will not out rule it. I was trying to say we should be careful with piling on Boeing and ensure we are evaluating other factors which Maintenace is one.

How he interpreted developing country to mean 3rd world is his own understanding and agenda because 3rd world countries are not the same as developing nations.

Sorry. I am a bit on edge, not only due to the crash, but because of people online from Brits to Singaporeans celebrating or making fun of the crash, all because they all buy the propaganda that India is some sort of backwaters Banana republic. So any suggestion that the possible maintenance issue is due to India being a developing nation, is deeply infuriating to me.

My point still stands though. India has a good commercial aviation record as per the data and as per ICAO.

I will concede though, Nairaland has been a lot more civil about this crash than most of the people from the so called Developed world. Goes to show that the right attitude is independent of a nation's development status.
