They actually do have good ballistic missiles. According to some reports Iran has fired 280 Ballistic Missiles at Israel.

It looks like both Iranian and Isreali airspaces are clean.

Iran does not really have what it takes. The combined efforts of the Americans, Jordanians, British and Israelis halted most of the damage.

Israel bombed and killed the Iranian nuclear sites, Air Defence Systems, the head of Irans revolutionary guards, the head of Iran's air defense forces and nuclear scientists.

The losses for Iran are very considerable compared to their response.

So much for their so called best air defence system Iron dome, they still have to rely on allied protection of their airspace. Anyways, all is fair in love and war.

Let me lay out a few facts here

Israel military and intelligence are technologically superior to Iran

Israel has the capacity to carry out targeted attacks in a way that could hurt Iran significantly.

Israel’s air defense is much elaborate than Iran. In a missile barrage between Israel and Iran, Iran may likely suffer more casualties depending on what is targeted.

That said, Iran military sites are VERY survivable and their most sensitive sites are buried deep underground inside mountains beyond the reach of current penetrator bombs.

Iran produces some of the worlds most advanced concrete some of which the extent of their strength is not fully known.

I don’t think the GBUs Isreal owns can do any serious underground damage to those major sites. If Iran can mobilize hundreds of missiles under hours, it means that much of their arsenal are still intact.

Iran currently has the ability to launch long range missiles into Israel and have mastered how to stretch Israel’s defenses to its limits. Ballastic missiles are difficult to defend against.

We are in a dangerous point currently and this situation really needs to deescalate as quickly as possible.

Russia cannot protect Iran, only diplomatically anyway. Russia has very close ties with Israel. Roman Abrahamovich, the billionaire former owner of Chelsea is Jewish. Russia also has one of the world's largest Jewish populations.

So, it's not that simple. Besides with the high intensity war in Ukraine, the Russians need the resources themselves. There's really not much they can do.

China will not intervene in a war abroad, they are passive. The Chinese have built their military around security and facing the US in the Indo Pacific region and Taiwan. The Chinese will only help Iran diplomatically.

Israel on the order hand have security guarantees with the US. The US never fights alone, the British will tag along.

On this situation it's difficult to fault Israel attacks on Iran and Iran's right to defend itself.

I think there could be a descalation, but Iran has been severely bruised.

The West backs Israel cause she is the only key ideological ally in the region. And maybe for more stuff that we don’t know much about.

Current Russia foreign policy actually backs Iran. Russia doesn’t see Israel as useful for her for its current policy goals. Russia doesn’t just have the resources at this time to deliver on their obligations to Iran. For example, Iran is getting the SU35s from Russia. It’s just a matter of time.

China also backs Iran. Around last week, China shipped thousands of rocket material to Iran. Shipping such a huge amount might mean their intelligence services foreknew impending war and wanted to supply Iran as quickly as possible.

Iron dome is actually just a rudimentary system for rocket attacks from Gaza. They are practically useless against ballastic missiles. They have media hype cause they’re good at what they do.

The systems working to defend Israel from Iran’s missiles are Arrow 3, David’s sling (Maybe, this one is not too powerful ), THAAD (Deployed in Israel from the U.S.), AEGIS ( Launched from U.S. vessels in the Mediterranean)

Will there’s a lot of propaganda on both sides, everything isn’t propaganda. Back in October 2024, Israel claimed that it had struck all Iran’s S-300 systems. Iran denied it but we all believed the Israel side.

Well, much later in February 2025, Iran paraded multiple intact S-300 systems, meaning that Israel’s battle assessment was incorrect.

In this round Israel has taken Iran to the cleaners. The Iranian response has been all media hype and no substance.

This shows why an excellent Air Force is critical for defence. If you're not Russia, Ground Based Ballistic Missiles have their limitations.

Speaking without sentiment. It’s not. CNN has an extensive array of journalists reporting on both sides and current reports are saying that there’s very significant damage in both Tehran and Jerusalem.

Ballastic missiles have very little limitations. They travel at hypersonic speeds up to Mach 25 and thus are difficult to intercept. US homeland mid course defense systems have to launch four missiles to bring the intercept rate of a single launched North Korean missiles close to 90 percent.

That’s the reason they make up the core of nuclear deterrent for major countries. It increases the certainty that you will be hit regardless of what defenses you’ve got.
