Lagos: July dates are available.
what dates are available in July. I've created my account for some while now but I'm currently having difficulties logging in to the TLS website.
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by patricia23: 5:00am On Jun 07, 2025
Change ticket dates or ask Airfrance for a refund. Then book a direct flight.

Anny4tt:
Good evening everyone, I need help please. I don't even know what to do anymore.
Got an air france ticket for my parents to travel from Abuja to the UK. My dad is going to be 80 and they have always loved airfrance but the last time they used AF to Uk was in 2022. Had no idea it is this frustrating with this transit visa else would have insisted on BA regardless of their sentiments.

I have not had an issue that frustrated me this much in a long why. The TLS online system does not allow you to pass this page in the screen shot so no date can be booked.have deleted and creates account more than 11 times. My siblings and I have tried this from different locations so it's not just me or my system. Please note this ATV. Ticket gotten is not refundable.

If I even book for actual schengen visa what will I say they want to do as they are not visiting anyone anywhere, more so because the UK visit is for 4 months duration... Even if we say tourists, and make a hotel booking, we can't probably make a booking for 4 months yet we need something that will envelope both legs into the UK and out.
Called TLS 11 times on Friday, same back and forth and issue not resolved.
Any advice please, I cannot afford to waste this ticket. Travel date is 1st week in July and I have been trying this for 3 weeks now.
Please help!! Many thanks

Please has anyone who submitted between May 19-23 in Lagos received their passport? My cousin is starting to get worried.
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by patricia23: 5:33am On Jun 12, 2025
Submitted 23rd.Nothing yet. I'm equally worried, but I'm guessing the delay is due to the public holidays.

The delay is probably because of summer peak season. They do not observe Nigerian holidays, only French ones like Easter and Christmas. My issue date on my last visa 1st April 2025 which was Sallah.

Just have same patience. The good news is coming.

, so planning a multi coutry trip intending to touch Paris, greece , norway.and 1 or 2 other schengen country...am a frequent traveller US,UK etc.
i have some questions.

1. which of the schengen countries is faster or easier to get visa, that way i focus on that country and not france.
2. am new to schengen visa - never applied before, and my trip is scheluded for about 10 days, can i apply for 3months multiple entry?

Please for study visa;

My sponsor is my uncle who happens to be the chief consultant of a travelling agency, I hope it won't be an issue to the consular, although I have done an affidavit of sponsorship, and I have 70%of scholarship, he's just covering up for the remaining 30%

Hi,

For your first question, I'm not sure why you want to set aside France. They have a relatively fast processing rate. Plus, if you're planning to apply yourself, France has one of the most active threads where you can get help from others. For frequent travellers which you qualify for, as at today, you should be able to get a late July appointment date.

Applying to Greece, follow these steps
https://www.mfa.gr/missionsabroad/en/nigeria-en/news/notice-for-visa-application.html

Applying to Norway, follow these steps
https://visa.vfsglobal.com/nga/en/nor/apply-visa

Note that France has submission in both Lagos and Abuja but Greece is in Abuja. Norway visa applications are processed in Nairobi Kenya even though you submit in either Lagos or Abuja

For your 2nd question, you can request for multiple entry but the length of the visa and frequency of entry they give you is at the discretion of the visa officer. Unlike UK where when you ask for 6 months and you are given 6 months if your application is successful.

Note that with a single entry visa, you can visit the multiple countries you want as far as you don't leave the Schengen area. Once you leave the Schengen area, a single visit is complete. i.e if you land in France and travel to Norway and then to Greece all within the same trip, it is considered a single entry.

All the best with your application

Change ticket dates or ask Airfrance for a refund. Then book a direct flight.
You didn't read the part the person said it's nonrefundable Air France ticket
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by patricia23: 3:02am On Jun 14, 2025
Yes, I saw the ticket is non-refundable ,but I’ve been in a similar situation before, and the airline still gave me a travel credit. After I explained the circumstances. Non-refundable doesn’t always mean no options. Air France might offer a credit, date change, or partial refund if you escalate

Marcgrace:
Hello @dennis201

I just checked TLSContact Abuja, but the only available slots are in September. It seems I may not be able to change or select a different submission location since I already specified the TLSContact center in Lagos on my application form.
Keep checking, dates open up. You might even get a date for next week.
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by VisaZest:
Hi,

Follow @chimzy09's suggestion to keep checking for dates.

If that doesn't work, as far as your travel is not tied to a particular date, you can fill a new France-Visas form then visit the TLS website to create a new application using the new form number and new travel dates. Alternatively, since you have not booked your appointment, after filling the new form, you can reach out to TLS and they will cancel the details you submitted on TLS so that you can input the new France-Visas form number and updated travel details.

Another option is to book your appointment then on appointment day, TLS staff will help you edit the France-Visas form and input the new travel dates (and accommodation if necessary)

All the best!

Marcgrace:
Hello @Everyone,

I cannot find an available appointment date at the TLScontact center in Lagos that corresponds with my intended arrival date in France, and I have already submitted my France visa application. What steps should I take? Thank you for your responses.

Hello @VisaZest

I will take a few days to check on availability, and then I will decide whether to fill out another form.
Thank you for your assistance; I appreciate it.

The French Embassy in Nigeria does observe Nigerian national holidays, as well as French national holidays.

The Embassy and Consulates of France in Nigeria close on both sets of holidays.

Hi everyone, I would appreciate your guidance.

I am planning to apply for a family visit visa to France (2 Adult, 3 children (two under 10 and one under 18)).
1. Am I required to fill out a separate visa application form for each family member, including the children?
2. Do we need to book individual appointment slots for each person, or is there a way to schedule a family appointment with VFS/TLS?

I would be grateful for any advice or tips on the best way to go about this/ process and other important advise

Has anyone ever been able to make payments on Air France website using their normal Nigerian debit cards?

It says credit cards on the website but I would like to try with my normal GT, Access, or Zenith Bank card.

Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by VisaZest: 4:57pm On Jun 16, 2025
Hi,

You need to create groups on both the France Visas site and TLS but you have to fill a form for each applicant. For France Visas site, start by filling a form for the first applicant but don't submit. Click on the copy icon (farthest to your right) and choose what info you want to duplicate for the next group member. Copy again until you have added all 5 of you to the group.

On TLS, create a group, add first applicant, save as draft then add all other applicants to group before you submit.

All the best with your application!

Hi,

You sound pretty excited about your trip and that's amazing!

1. To secure a date, create a draft form on the France Visas site then use the form number to book your appointment on TLS. Be sure to complete your form after booking your TLS appointment.
2. For what to do, I highly recommend a walking tour- it gives you a great overview of the city. You can also google fun activities in the city you want to visit. Platforms like tripadvisor, getyourguide typically have suggestions, activity costs and reviews
3. For moving around, get the transport app for each country (eg Bonjour RATP app for Paris) and use the metro/bus/tram for commute. It's convenient and cheaper. The apps also shows you the cost and various options on how to get from point A to B (sometimes, it is a combo of train and bus). You also get to see the departure times for the trains, buses etc. so you can plan accordingly. Citymapper app is another gem you can use for commute. For language barrier, target activities eg tours done in English but also be ready to interact with those who don't speak English.
4. I don't know a lot about the Eiffel tower area but hotels can be safer. Hostels are also another option.

All the best with your trip!
