Ibime:I usually try to avoid conversations about the Middle East because, honestly, it’s a rabbit hole. So let me stick to my main point about what’s happened since yesterday. Unless we’re prepared to go all the way back to the creation of Hamas - who created it and why it was created - and everything that led up to this, the only justification I’ve seen for yesterday’s attack is the claim that Iran is getting closer to acquiring nuclear weapons—and that, somehow, this makes the aggressive escalation by Isreal acceptable. That’s exactly where my concern lies. This kind of logic and escalation could easily spiral into something much worse—potentially even a third world war. |

DeadPresidents:I disagree. Criticising Israel and participating in pro Palestine protest in Germany is regarded as antisemitic. Whether deportation itself is time consuming or not it doesn't matter, it is a law that has been passed by the German lawmakers & those who go against the law will be penalized according to German law. You as an African immigrant in Germany wouldn't want to breach such. Even European and US citizens who participated in pro Palestine protest and criticised Israeli military activities in Gaza are facing deportation battle. "But the deportation orders go further. They cite a broader list of alleged behaviours: chanting slogans such as “Free Gaza” and “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free”, joining road blockades (a tactic frequently used by climate activists), and calling a police officer a “fascist”. Read closely, the real charge appears to be something more basic: protest itself. All four are also accused – without evidence – of supporting Hamas and of chanting antisemitic or anti-Israel slogans. Three of the deportation orders explicitly cite Germany’s national commitment to defend Israel, its so-called Staatsräson, or reason of state, as justification".

diggz:Well, Israel is the only sovereign country to chop State sponsored terrorism against it on a Daily basis and expected not to react. Only weak countries do that. Let any country constantly sponsor, arm and direct terrorists against another country and they will chop direct confrontation. India attacked Pakistan for harbouring a terrorist group that killed tourists just weeks ago USA attacked Afghanistan and Sudan for harbouring Al Qaeda that attacked USA Let any country sponsor and direct the Uighurs to attack China and see if China won't attack that country. Even Gaddafi that sponsored a plane bombing was not forgotten for 20 years Any country, you name it from Britain to Russia to Brazil that knows another country is directing terrorists to attack it constantly will immediately attack that country, unless them no get levels But somehow we want to normalise that Iran can surround and pound Israel with terrorist missiles, with a stated aim of their Government to wipe Israel off the map and Israel has no right of action. They first attacked Israel directly in a State-to-State attack twice last year, while Israel is defending itself from dozens of missile attacks and blockade from Iran proxies daily, and Israel striking Iran nuclear facilities is the problem in all these. Of course Israel was on great terms with Iran until the Mullahs took over Iran with a stated cornerstone policy of wiping Israel off the map. They chose the beef in support of the Palestinians. So if there's any conversation to be had, it's the fairness or otherwise of the Palestinian situation going back to 1948. |

Isreal no even let these people breathe. Too many attacks and explosions in Teheran. Iran activated air defences. Them still get air defence? Their Main port city, bandar abbas under attack. Iran gas refinery attacked. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Emaprince: 7:10pm On Jun 14, 2025 |
Iran has had it coming. It is only right that Isreal face them head on and settle this once and for all...than allowing those people strike them through many proxies. This is how a real man should stand up to a fight. The worst is this this Iran current regimes vow to wipe Isreal out of the earth. I will never kill another human, but anybody whose intention is to kill me will NEVER live. If I dont take him out, my head will roll eventually. |

raumdeuter:I watched the video for 5 minutes and to honest, I would apportion most of the blame on the children. Family will do family thing, but you don’t allow your aged dad/ parents to retire in the village and not physically, I mean physically visit with him at least bi-annually to see things for yourself. He retired to the villa in 2017 and it took 5 years before you started noticing changes? He never visited the US again after he left in those 5 years? None of the kids visited with him in 5 years before you started noticing changes? What did you expect would happen? I did not watch any further to know when they finally visited with him. The relatives only took advantage of her dad because they were assured no one was going to keep them in check and maybe their dad was naturally kind and did not like trouble, because if na my pops? Good luck! The matter may have been worsened if their dad didn’t travel home a lot while he was active in the US. E be like person wen Dey give village people money to build house for you and you Dey supervise through video calls and WhatsApp! Dey play!! It’s like sending a kid to boarding school and assure yourself that phone and video calls are sufficient enough. The day you will physically see your pikin after staying away for a long time go shock you! The kids have to show more responsibility, this one no Dey for I got too busy in the US like the daughter said in the video. Naaa..they have to take turns to visit in person with their dad and see for themselves how he is doing, especially for his health. Retiring in the villa isn’t bad, I have uncles who retired in the villa after living abroad and they are doing very well. Also, I don’t know how the transplant happened but in my experience, my uncles spent months in between before finally transplanting. They still visit the US for medical treatment and vacations but now primarily reside in the village and they are happy and won’t have any other way. |

It’s honestly baffling that people are genuinely asking why a regime with a well-documented history of sponsoring global terrorism shouldn’t be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons. That’s the equivalent of giving a licensed firearm to a violent psychopath with a proven track record of threats and aggression and expecting a love feast. What could possibly go wrong? |

Ibime:Again, the Israeli Prime Minister was very clear about the reason for their attack yesterday. All these other points you’re bringing up weren’t part of what he actually said. It’s the exact same reasoning they gave during the Iraq and Afghanistan wars—same story, same lines, just a different time. In all three situations, Israel was either directly or indirectly involved. This really isn’t rocket science—there’s simply no justification for these endless wars anymore. I no dey support any side for this matter….make dem sha do whatever dem wan do end the senseless wars. |

Roland17:I actually read this story on Social Media last week and it hit close to home as my Dad recently suffered a stroke On the contrary, the girl has been in touch with her Dad until the Stroke, meaning the Dad was in charge of his affairs and handling his affairs correctly It was when he suffered the stroke that his siblings kidnapped him, got access to his money and and blocked communication with his daughter That his daughter risked the journey to the village is a big risk for her to take, you know how these Oyinbo children no know road and it will take weeks and months of logistics planning for her to ensure her safety in the village (especially in the East) but her love shined through and she did it. It reminds me of one of my Naija-German friend where I had to arrange armed escorts to take her to her village in Anambra to retrieve her fathers property documents from her uncle. It took some weeks of planning and courage on her part, plus we had to make sure we could get her back to a hotel in the City same day after the confrontation with her uncle. Unfortunately there is not much you can do with a stroke victim when someone is controlling their communications. Even as of yesterday, I had to wipe off all apps from my dad's phone except his calling app where I favourite his children's numbers, my mum and his sisters and two friends as that's the only way he would be able to look at his phone and get to communicate with who he wants. The first thing he did after I sorted his phone was to call my sister and tell her that Abel (his friend who is about the same age as me) just fixed his phone so he can call her. ![]() I also had to transfer all his bank details and everything to my mum cos he no know any of his pin numbers nor can he read small text again so his bank details are Greek to him. In the process, I solved a mystery - he had asked my sister last week how I was coping with a £5k loan that was meant to help my mum. In the process of sorting his banking out, I found that he had lent his friend Abel £5k and in his stroke state, he was confusing me with Abel and wants to recover the money to give to my mum. So you can't blame anyone for being incommunicado or not in touch with a stroke victim and it is very easy to kidnap their finances as this guy sibling was doing. |

Ibime:that was one of the first things that came to my mind. it is extremely risky to travel to naija on a normal day . now you are traveling to village in the hinterlands to hostile relatives who have everything to lose. they can literally kidnap and kill you at different stages of your journey and the story will end there. this is naija where you may actually advise your friend to stay in hotel rather than with relatives because one miscreant in the family will organize armed robbers for your friends the dollars that is literally how a colleagues MIL was killed. she was based abroad, came home visiting and armed robbers stormed the house and she was killed. |
