40 words is actually a lot for many.

Advantages

1. The increased depth of postings may improve nairaland's status as a source/research tool.
2. It may improve the quality of postings.

Potential disadvantages


1. It may/will reduce the overall number of posts.

2. Posts may improve in quality, but that is not guaranteed as posters may resort to filling the 40-word gap will much lower quality content.

3. The brevity, sharpness, and quick wits that characterise many short and very short post posts will be lost.

Don't tell me that some words don't need more than five words.

1. Most of us were doing space booking , instead of posting quality posts.

2. Most people were just claiming space to do advertising and post pictures of their adverts.

3. Most people were just using the post to post emojis...

If you are on the Forum and the owner is doing what you don’t like, the reasonable thing is for you to leave the Forum quietly. Nobody knows when you joined and nobody cares if and when you leave. Stop crying like bush baby

Thank you OP. Seun own too much. Bans people that opposes the government of the day,leaves miscreants that cause tribal misconduct. Keeps restrictions on Muslim issues but opens Christians forums. This is not the nairaland of way back. E don chase almost reasonable posters away. Explorers I no dey see. Nwamaikpe dey chop ban Everytime he says the truth. I don tire for seun matter and I have stopped telling people about adverts here.

No more space booking. Some people will book space with "ok" then go out to buy indomie and return home before making comment, some will even forget the space they booked.

How is that affecting you? Abi what is the problem exactly.

This is one of the best decisions at sanitising NL.

I'm beginning to enjoy relevant posts once again, particularly on first pages, rather than the usual space booking.
