Every conflict Israel is facing now was initiated by Iran. They fund and arm Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis who attack Israel non stop.

Israel already has that just that the terrain in Iran is much more difficult. I remember when America bombed the Torra Borra mountains in Afghanistan until they got tired...Israel is getting hit, they need American support to neutralise Iran. At the moment the US and other NATO allies are only helping to defend Israel by shooting down Iranian drones and missiles over Jordanian, Iraqi and Syrian airspace. Israel however wants the US to join them on the offensive. If it does not make sense to you then leave it.

The Russians should be grateful that the west aren't heartless. Russia's economy completely collapsed back then. If not for Europeans and Americans giving them aid and trading with them they would be like Pakistan today. Infact at a point Russia was like a defacto member of the EU. They carried Russia along so that they won't crumble beyond salvaging and also the fear of Russian nukes falling into the hands of non-state actors.

I'm sure Merkel will never forgive Putin for the betrayal. Everybody wanted to keep Russia a pauper, but Merkel begged for them and made sure there was always a seat for Russia at the table. I'm always surprised when I see some Russian and Putin stans talk about betrayal.
