If I get you right, you are asking Iraq to close their airspace. If that's what you mean, then I agree with you. It would then be different from what I interpreted as "Israeli jet are taking off from Iraq."
So, it seems your position is in double folds.
1. Israeli jets are taking off from Iraq which I am countering with they are rather taking off from Syria and don't need to enter Iraq airspace. I have seen confirmation of an Israeli jet hitting and destroying an Iranian plane refueling at the Mashad International airport from an astounding 2,300 kilometres away. We both know that shot wasn't fired from Iraq but from very far away right from Israel.
2. That Iraq should close it's airspace which I didn't read into your position when I countered it. And even if Iraq closes their airspace, can it prevent the passage of missiles? (Isn't it supposed to prevent only the passage of aircraft? Am asking this as a question)

The Iraqis on the other hand, can enforce the use of its airspace to some extent, they possess formidable US jets and could easily intercept the Jewish jets but won't do that mainly for political reasons, the US is the major political backer for the Iraqis and won't want to cause harm to Jewish jets also they don't know how far the war could go, they have Iranian based groups in some part of Iraq and would need US military support if the war escalates.

Ukraine had a sizeable cache of s300 during the early stages of the war and also had a fair number of Su's fighter jets and attack helos. the air space over Ukraine was contended from day one of the russian invasion to this very day. They were more Russian air assets shut down during the early stages of the war than later on,
Ukrainian SAMs were shooting down Russia jets and helos as early as the first few hours of the invasion. Russia stopped flying sorties into Kiev very early in the war, same Russia that couldn't give air cover to its airborne troopers trapped in hostmel airport in Kyiv?? go and verify it, you have no clue to what you are saying, dude. Russian jets hardly even operate in occupied Ukrainian territory.

Western air-defences were given to Ukraine not because of the air threats pose by russian fighter jets, They simply don't have the means to achieve air superiority, not with the junks they are flying, but because of Russian ballistic, cruise and glider bombs, After the failed Kyiv invasion, Russia started the deliberate acts of using ballistic missiles on Ukrainian cites, targeting transportation networks energy facilities. This was what prompted the need for Western anti air batteries to be supplied to the Ukrainians, not because of any Russia threat to Ukrainian airspace, who dash monkey banana.

P.s Ukraine didn’t receive air defence systems from the US until after the Russian invasion of keiv had failed. The Ukrainians, at the beginning of the war, didn't need air-defences, The pressing needs were portable anti -tank missiles against Russia military armour
