Air Peace needs to rein in on their staff locally and internationally. I don't hold a brief for Osho baba, but I once witnessed almost a similar unpalatable and unwholesome act being meted out to their passengers on a continental flight outside Nigeria some years ago.

You cannot move people's flights indiscriminately. It is an indication of improper planning. You can't operate five flights per day when you have no capacity. If aircrafts are not available, simply reduce your flight frequency or have a code-share arrangement. The accusation that passengers are asked to pay 209k to airlift them as against what was paid online needs to be looked into.

Even if Oshiomole came late for his flight, I am glad he spoke up against the unethical practices by Air Peace. By now, the senate should have convened a public hearing into such practices by airlines. You'd be surprised that some airline staff were charging those exorbitant "boarding fees" to up their KPIs. I was surprised after so many people called out Air Peace for unethical conduct. Shebi they are now flying to London and other international routes. Let them try those sharp practices in those places if they wont pay a hefty fine or face suspension.

Dear Nigerian big men, there are critical sectors of the economy you can invest your funds in. Aviation is one of them. Come together, float an airline. Appoint a competent management team and make money. You can do the same for vehicle assembly, textile, arms and ammunition manufacturing, mining, and so on. A situation where one person is doing as he likes because he controls a third of the domestic aviation market is unacceptable.

Best comment ever. Yes oshiomole might have his own issues. But he had conveyed a very important message to Nigerians on sharp practices of the Airlines. This is a bad KPI for Air peace. And bad marketing for them.

Be calming down. If you book your flight online and miss it, the options remaining is either ask for refund (depending on your ticket) or reschedule. And while rescheduling, you will pay the amount of the ticket price if the new date.

If you book a ticket online for 1 kobo, then miss your flight and decide to reschedule, and then the price of ticket on the new date is 1000 naira, you will have to pay an extra #999.99k, except you no want fly.

For shift in flight time..

That can be caused by weather report. some of us forget that the work with weather forecast agency and other monitoring agency.

My flight time have been shifted before and it turns out that heavy rain fell at that time.
I have also been a plane that was suppose to depart at a particular time but we had to wait for incoming plane to descend using the run way.

That was at local terminal of Abuja airport

How is extortion related to job opportunity?

He may be right, if the flight is 6.30am and you get to the airport like 6.10am , if you are ready to pay an extortion fee at the counter, they will radio ahead to keep the gate open, that a VIP is on the way. I have experienced such.

If you don fly airpeace before, you go understand say they no be better airline wey carry customer service well. They will leave you stranded most times. If i wan go somewhere and na only air peace dey available, either i shift my date or no go at all. It's that bad

I believe and support the senator on this one.
I had to travel to Accra last month since I missed my direct flight to Atlanta from Lagos. I needed to fly to Accra to catch a flight to JFK then to Atlanta.
I looked up the ticket online with Air Peace, the cost was 209k. I tried to pay online but they kept making it super difficult. I approached their desk at MMA 1, I told the lady what was happening on their website. She told me to make the reservation and I can pay at rhe counter with my card or transfer.
After making the reservation with a total of 209k , she then told me that I have to pay 332k.
I was furious, by now the line behind me was getting longer because so many people were also trying to fly to Accra to catch the Delta flight to JFK.
I ended up paying 332k instead of 209 that I made the reservation with online.
I felt scammed but I just wanted to leave hence I let it slide.
The price on their website is not what they want passengers to pay. It seems like a scam.
At the end , they still delayed the flight hence i arrived Accra late for my JFK flight, I had to pay for hotel and spend a night in Accra. Not a good experience with Air peace.
