Another way to scoop the subsidy fund into their private accounts. Do we even have NAF here? Can they use the facility if acquired? Bunch of illiterates and their illiterates employers. |

Dennisochampa:Why will they bomb civilian's with terrorist? Don't we have trained Air force pilots? If no, then they should send them to Israel for training and let them learn how to aim only at their target and not attack indiscriminately. |

Astrid4:I was physically in the Middle East in 2003 during the Afghanistan and Iraq war. The US Air Force carried out all their air strike deliberately. Any news of a mistaken target was a cover up. The Taliban are known for using human shield. They have heavy weaponry and Arsenal with ordinary civilian's as a cover up. The CIA know all those gimmicks. I pity those women and children that allowed themselves to be used. |

ogaemma:Souuu what are you trying to say boko haram and other bandit don’t use civilian as human shield too we have had scenarios of community working closely with bandits hiding in the homes, giving them intelligence report, in an emptive to strike, you believe i won’t air strike them with the so called civilians, in that same Afghanistan we have had issues of targeting error and technical difficulties, don’t forget 2001 was a period when United state was starting their drone programs, there were issues of their drones dropping bombs before reaching target as a result of their drones hitting mountains and also harsh weather like dust storms make them drop bombs on civilians and residential, so harsh weather often take the drone off-course. All the modern warfare comes with collateral damage they’re not 100% perfect, civilian dying as a result of air strike are close to normal, especially people living close, sometimes doesn’t have to do with the pilot or even the aircraft itself technical difficulties, intelligence mistakes, human shield are common mistakes that can occur, that’s why the Nigeria army most times warn people close to these bandit forest to leave, some remain to stay there, we’ve had scenarios where armies have to warn civilians to leave this area around forest and bushes. |

What happened to the tucano helicopters that buhari bought?. Are they using it to capacity? We've not been in tune with the activities of these machines lately. My sincere advice to the naf is to sell those tucanos and replace them with this new ones since most of the Ariel bombardment these days are carried out by alpha jets and not the tucanos. Of what good is keeping the tucanos when they are inoperable. |

At last someone is thinking. This is one piece of the best kind of air asset that can be deployed to counter insurgency operations, the helicopter gunship. The other critical part is the helicopter troop carrier and when you have a whole squadron spread round trouble spots and within a thirry minute flying time to interdict then there is a chance the military can actually get the job done. So a web of bases within 150 miles of each other equiped with one Chinook, two Viper's each and a company each of elite soldiers will break the back of these brgands. |

| Re: FG Set To Acquire 12 Viper Helicopters From US To Boost NAF’s Combat Capability by Reference(m): 4:07pm On Jun 16, 2025 |
hotseat:Fixed winged aircraft, typically ground attack aircraft are not the tools for the job. They are only useful against fortifications, vehicles and clustered troops not guerilla formations which tend to be well versed in camouflage and subterfuge. I mean they donot fly at the speeds where highly mobile non radar readable targets can be easily identified, tracked and targeted. Armoured helicopters on the other hand fly slow and low enough to identify and track more mobile and dispersed targets. |

The Boko haram is fighting an asymmetrical war.........the army should acquire fpv suicide drones plus surveillance drones.......train our rappers to rig high explosives to the suicide drones........that's the only way to destabilize these savages |
| Re: FG Set To Acquire 12 Viper Helicopters From US To Boost NAF’s Combat Capability by SarkinYarki: 4:19pm On Jun 16, 2025 |
I would have preferred if these viper attack helicopters were given to the Nigerian Army instead of the Airforce like they have done in the US , the AH cobra and vipers are used by the US army and Marines not the airforce, it's a a tactical close support aircraft |

moscow007:The irony is that if you start a drone/advanced arms company/research center in Nigeria today, they will come after you claiming you are manufacturing for terrorists. How can a nation develop with this archaic mentality ? |
