Wole Soyinka is someone I have always respected so much and deservedly. However as human,I know that he is not infallible but the earlier Prof Soyinka stays away from this government the better for his reputation that he labored for over the years.
Goodluck Jonathan honoured him with a national award and he rejected it,citing lack of democratic tenets and few years down the line,his tribes man whom can be judged to be a civilian tyrant,gave him same award and he accepted,that's shameful to me.Even when Rivers state was unjustly handed over to the military.
For his image,he could equally have rejected it,that's my take.I just hope he stays away from this government,for his reputation.
