How many people can actually leave this country realistically? Even if all western countries open their doors, how many Nigerians can afford to sponsor relocation abroad? A country where the minimum wage is less than $50 , u say make the people make moves to leave the country; with which money abeg?

He's not serious. People wey dey live for cosmopolitan states and even have jobs that pay above minimum wage sef no see the money to run travelling package na people wey dey states like Benue , Plateau , etc wan see am.

This is true.
But it would also be messed up if because of that heinous act (killing the fulanis), the killings stop. How will you now interpret that?


Also an alternative could be how the isoko people have been handling it recently.
Each community has been peacefully (not heard of violence yet) escorting these guys to the edge of their town and then the next town will take over and escorts them to the edge of their town and the next town will take over. Apparently that's been effective in removing and stopping whatever killing is to occur.

The 2nd link is Benue government providing military escort to cows in Makurdi last night, just hours after using tear gas on people who came out to protest those same killings.

How do you even begin to process this kind of madness? Grief is met with tear gas while cow get more protection than people. Walahi it's insanely difficult to feel any shred of patriotism or hope for this nation.

I have become desensitized to all the communal / ethnic killings that happen in the country. E just be like normal occurrence to me now. Is that a bad thing?

We have a Revd as the governor of a state and cannot protect his own people? he is either protecting his own or others political interest.

I don't think the issue is political, rather I think it is terrorissssm which is being hastily dismissed as communal clash. The fact that it is summarily dismissed as a communal clash in some places and famer-herders' crisis in some other parts of the middlebelt makes it easy for the perpetrators to get away with the heinous crime.

There is lack of willpower on the path of the government/military to go after the perpetrators and bring them to book.

The governor does not control the police, military or DSS. These things fall under the exclusive legislative list which even Emi lokan
acknowledged in 2014. BAT should take responsibility and secure the lives and properties of Nigerians. Nothing concern the North here. It happend during Orthom when PMB was president

That's the political interest I meant, you think if his electoral future is at stake he wouldnt do somrthing about it? We have seen Governors in the southwest and southeast set up paramilitary outfits to reduce this menace, atleast with such outfit in place it would be easy to identify if it is actual terroist like ISIS or herdsmen grabbing lands for future grazing.

I don't think this is about what the governor can do or cannot do.Ortom was governor and this thing happened, nor Alia is government and it is same same.

Whether we like it or not, Tinubu was right back then when he said the buck stops at his table as far as security is concerned. For starters we have DSS and NIA which are supposed to be our intelligence agencies. What intelligence report have they passed to the president concerning the reoccurring mass murderrr going on in that state ? What are the actions the president has taken based on those intelligence reports?

The truth is vigilantes/paramilitary organizations cannot face terrorrisssts weilding automatic weapons.
