What is the essence of setting up a paramilitary u won't be able to arm? The fact that Governors in the middlebelt/north central did not set up paramiliatry outfits and arm them with pump action guns shows they know they are dealing with real terrrorissts. It is the armed forces under the command of the president that can face terrrorrists.

Truth be told, Soludo has different security outfits combating crime in the state and I can see 60 to 70% improvement in security in Anambra state. Many petty robberies and cult activities have been reduced severely.

Tinubu wanted to score political points with the chance he got and today you can’t absolve him of his utterances because they are largely true.

You are comparing the southeast and southwest where there are no known hardened terrrrorist groups with the North ?

I'm not saying paramilitary should not be established but I doubt they will make much difference when the federal government forces are doing the barest minimum in that part of the country.

Pump action, any type of gun will be a deterrent to terrorists, the only reason they are that bold to come is because they know there is no resistance.

These natives know their villages better than the invaders, so any form of arms and resistance will offer some pushback not just praying and protesting daily then return to wait for your turn

Having said that, I don’t understand why the NC states do not have state-backed paramilitary security network. The governors are either too incompetent/corrupt or they just lack the political will due to their personal ambition.

I see what Tinubu is doing and giving the circumstances, he is doing the best he can, He also needs collaboration of the state governors. What we always do is absolve state governors of any responsibility and everything is FG

The other states that did it heaven did not fall, the Benue Plateau where that is the epicenter are shying away. Its really confusing

Governance is a joint effort. That does not mean FG efforts have stopped in Anambra but when they get help from the communities affected it becomes better

In Borno and Yobe under Boko Haram they have civilian JTF which went a long way to help the FG forces. I dont think we have an idea of how this Federal system works when its time to collect allocation every state will have a voice, when its time to deliver, they become voiceless

Maybe we should abolish all states and just be one unitary govt where Abuja is responsible for everything in Omu Aran, Afikpo and Potiskum
