Is that not an indictment on Tinubu's leadership? If he orders service chiefs to go solve the insecurity issue and gbey decided to lodge in hotels and drink beer while terrrosits attack more citizens?

See, all these one u are blaming everybody but Tinubu no be am at all. But continue
Posting the service chief there was just for photo ops and wont do anything. Army chief won't know who is herdsmen or farmer. Its the locals that will know and they are better equipped to battle it

If you have criminals disturbing your area, what will a service chief from Abuja know about it more than you living in the area. Best thing service chief will start arresting every male over 15yrs while the criminals would have fled

Solution to security tends to be more effective when it's done locally with logistics support from state and FG

Okay.

What should Tinubu do?
Provide more support to the state government to tackle the insecurity locally

Ask Alia what do you need to secure your state. Your security votes how has it been spent to secure your states.

Bruh............................... and that the bulk of anything security no longer ends at the president's table, the goal post has now been shifted to the governors' domot.
I never see this kind thing before. Make person dey talk say army that has the responsibility of fighting to defend the territorial integrity of the country is powerless ; but it is local vigilante that can face terrrorrists.

Anyways sha once it's not anybody we know that is a victim, we can always make blind arguments to defend our stans that are not living up to their responsibility

Wetin concern me with posting service chiefs there?

Didn't I read my initial post where I'm blaming Tinubu who controls DSS, NIA and the military for having ineffective intelligence agencies under his watch?

Why is he not being briefed by the intelligence agencies and him working on it? Why are we not seeing results?

Why is he giving useless order for the community to reconcile with who? Terrrorrists?
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by diggz: 5:58pm On Jun 16, 2025
The brutal truth about a scorecard is this: no amount of spin, PR, or cosmetic renovation can hide an F9 or a fail. Failure is failure—loud, clear, and undeniable. An F9/a fail anywhere in Nigeria/West-Africa/world is an F9/a fail everywhere, and not even the most cunning master strategist or the slickest PR team can rewrite that fact.

If Tinubu’s tenure were to end today, his scorecard on security would be stamped with a bold, unapologetic F9. All the narrative shifting, blame games, or goalpost moving won’t change that. It’s failure—full stop.

This is the same man who declared it was his turn to rule, who promised to hit the ground running, who told Nigerians not to pity him. Well, the ground has hit back. And what has he delivered so far? A catastrophic performance. His scorecard doesn’t lie. It screams F9—loud enough for the whole country to hear.

Emilokan = F9!

The state government should be taking a lead on this and putting their security votes to use.

Tinubu cannot secure Benue better than Alia. Alia is closer to the ground and knows what the issues is better than Tinubu

What Tinubu has done is enhance the federal structure giving the state more money and power to handle their problems themselves without depending on Abuja all the time

This was the same way they defended Buhari's failure day and night for seven and half years till Tinubu contested the election. It was only then they started seeing some of the truths we've been saying about the clueless one.

Why didn’t Emilokan allow the Governor of Rivers State to take the lead before rushing to declare a state of emergency within 48 hours?

Egbon, it’s beginning to look like the lives of over 200 people murdered by bloodthirsty terrorists mean nothing to you and Tinubu—or is it simply because these were human lives, not cows?

I have already shown u evidence that Benue state has a paramilitary outfit like u expected them to.

Now ist Ur turn to agree Tinubu led federal government has failed to perform one of government's major duty ; security of lives and properties.

Thus far he has failed the people of Benue state

You see this One Party state that is looking like a reality? It will be Nigeria's greatest undoing.

I really hope that those who are happy that one great cult of impunity that is about to be formed, will be able to hold back the tears when it comes.

Because you will cry, and nobody will hear you.

I expect Benue people to do a solidarity march for Alia/BAT 2027 before the year runs out.

Actually Tinubu did, he invited Fubara many times to sort the issue in Rivers as the CSO but he kept inflaming the issue by defying court orders, destroying the assembly

The lives of Benue people cannot matter to anyone more than the man in Benue who they've entrusted with the security of the state

Tunubu has empowered governors like no other president and it's time they start doing their duties

You are not just governor when it's time to collect allocation, you are also governor when its time to do the work

Exactly my point. PBAT can't say he isn't aware of how things have been going down for years in that region. Should have been proactive to not allow things to degenerate to this level.

You might say the situation in Rivers State is different but when he saw that a potential breakdown of law and order would probably affect Crude oil production that would maybe tank the economy he did what in his mind needed to be done to arrest the situation. Something I expected he would have done in Benue since.

raumdeuter:
From my little knowledge of the middle belt, they are a mix, they have villages who are farmers, Christians and natives e.g Jukun, Angas Tiv and they also have villages that are largely herdsmen, moslem, Fulani settlers

A fight will start between village A and village B, will escalate maybe the Angas village is getting the upper hand, the fulani village will reach out to their brothers outside for backup. Those ones will be brought in and on the day of the attacks it's usually the local fulani that will lead the outside well armed Fulanis to the location to cause havoc

The locals are the ones who will know the situation better. To an outsider you can't know the difference between the 2 parties but a local will know

Tinubu was within his right to criticize and anyone doing so is also within his right

Your right is different from the realities of the past 50yrs of consistent killings and those on ground closer to the people should take a lead with the backup of the FG. That is my point

Since Emilokan became president, it’s been nothing but endless renovations. How are we supposed to grade a leader who’s been mostly asleep at the wheel anything but F9?

There’s a reason he’s busy consolidating power in every state ahead of 2027—because he has nothing tangible to show the masses, apart from serving the interests of his own circle.

Even Onokpasa, of blessed memory, who once passionately defended him on national TV—almost fighting the presenter in the process—was forced to make a U-turn within two years, live on that same station.

At this rate, Emilokan will drag everyone into the mud. Las las, the man’s mission na to stain every white cloth in sight. Shameless president!

My elder brother what emilokan has done is empower state governors like never before

The illusion that all governance must be from Abuja has been stopped governors are given money and power to fix their issues

That is A1 right there and one of the biggest positive since we started this democracy

Also thanks to APC security in the country has improved, we no longer have Boko haram bombing every weekend even in Abuja due to thr good works of APC

More work still dey to be done and we enjoin Nigerians to help

PBAT knows and he thinks the solution should be local. Not an outsider just coming to shoot everyone at sight. That is why he is engaging the state government and empowering him more to do better

Tinubu can't know Benue more than Alia and Benue indigenes, he can't know Kano more than Kanawa

They have to engage on what can be done to fix this recurring issue

There is a lot that dialogue between the warring parties can do. Some of these clashes are decades of score counting, you killed my people 30,20, 10, 5 1yr ago and I will revenge. Local stakeholders need to sit and discuss a long lasting solution

Google image search on the outfit the governor created vs Amotekun, there's no way Benue has 5000 capacity outfit kitted out like Amotekun and we are constantly getting this high number of killings not like they are throwing bombs oo, Tinubu should just declare SoE in Benue.
