23jerryking:You made an assertion that only countries who her disciplined should be allowed to have nukes. So I was asking you a question, according to you, who are those countries you feel are disciplined enough to possess nukes ? |

The IAEA says that it has detected direct bomb impacts on the underground nuclear enrichment halls at Iran’s Natanz nuclear facility. The Israeli Air Force has repeatedly struck the facility, one of the Iranian nuclear program’s prime targets. |

basilico:What is funny is the "Iran cannot have nuclear bomb" America and people like you who are brainwashed by the western media keep parroting. Tulsi Gabbard US intelligence chief still briefed the American administration in March that Iran wasn't building or planning to build a nuclear weapon according to their latest intelligence assessment. Anyway we all know same narrative like this came up in the lead up to the invasion of Iraq Netanyahu was behind the Iraqi invasion too. |

MERCHANDISER:I think their assumption was that democrats would forever remain in power or so long as they don't ACTUALLY pursue a nuclear weapon, no one would attack them. Or maybe, they were dumb enough to think they'd get from Russia the kind of assistance srael getts from USA and EU. They've forgotten that all previous unfriendly governments were eliminated with various excuses. Saddam for WMDs, Ghaddafi for human rights, Bashar for use of chemical weapons (before Putin came to his rescue), etc. The Fatwa crooner will go down for 'attempting to create a nuclear weapon' unless he still has something up his sleeves which honestly, I doubt. |

23jerryking:No one ever said Iran needs nukes because of "equity and fairness". Stop twisting words around. Iran needs nukes because it is in the cross hairs of the same nations that have repeatedly attacked and destroyed African, Asian, Latin American, and Middle Eastern countries that are not under their control. Those nukes will then serve as deterrent to ensure that these Western hawks, along with their little baby, Israel, will not attack Iran. That's why Iran needs nukes, and not due to the flimsy excuse you listed up there. |

Israel says Iran was racing toward a nuclear weapon. US intel says it was years away. But US intelligence assessments had reached a different conclusion – not only was Iran not actively pursuing a nuclear weapon, it was also up to three years away from being able to produce and deliver one to a target of its choosing, according to four people familiar with the assessment.

I find it quite amusing that people out here believe Israel is helping to rid the world of "Islamist terrorism", when time and time again they've used the same terrorism/terrorists to achieve that aim. ![]() Isn't that contradictory?🤔 The "terror group" In the article below is MEK- a terrorist organization that's responsible for the numerous car bombings, and other terrorist activities within Iran. The US and even EU used to classify them as such, although they were delisted from US terror groups sometimes ago, for reasons best known to them....LOL!

PART 1 For those wondering why Iran reduced the number of missile salvos. Here are the key points. 1. Iran has sufficiently degraded Israeli Air Defenses. Its missiles can target anywhere in Israel without needing to use a large salvo to overwhelm ADs. 2. Iran now knows it can handle the daily potshots Israel throws at it. Most importantly, despite repeated strikes on Natanz and Fordow, two public cornerstones of the Iranian nuclear program, they're not totally out of commission. Fordow, in particular, has brushed off every attack. 3. The likelihood of the US joining the war has verifiably exceeded 50%, so Iran must prepare for that eventuality. US planes and assets are on the move. PART 2 PART 3 -Lord |

PART 2 4. Taken together, it is of no use sending a hundred missile salvo at a time. Iran retains this capacity. Today's Israeli Ministry of Defense briefing acknowledges this. That capability will, thus, be more useful when the US inevitably joins the war. US forces will be dispersed in poorly defended locations and will be a target rich environment. Even older, inaccurate missiles will score hits. 5. This is the most important point. The prime jewel of the US conventional bunker buster ammunition pile is the GBU-57. It's last public penetration rating is 61m. But that was in 2011. A long time ago. Informed sources claim its penetration depth has increased substantially after more recent modifications. But it is anyone's guess how it will perform when it lands on a Persian mountain. According to IAEA sources, some of Iranian nuclear facilities go as deep as 1000m. We will all be in the front row seat to separate facts from fiction. Some nuclear sites will be taken out. But it is unclear if all can be destroyed. That is an open question in the Pentagon. -Lord |

Was about to respond to WrriterNG's comment about the pastor when the post disappeared (I know it's you, dear antispambutt). Holiness may not be vulgar but he has no regard for human lives as a result of his religious beliefs on Israel. In my book, people that justify violence with religion are called terrorists. |

Me I know for a fact that Iran can never be allowed nukes. It's akin to Ukraine wanting NATO membership in the face of Russian alertness |

PART 3 6. To wit, after the opening salvo, we are at the point of the war, where everyone is waiting for the US to show up and perform miracles. The tit for tats will continue. But Iran is specifically keeping its powder dry, while Israel continues to take ineffectual shots that have no impact whatsoever on Iran's nuclear facilities and missile stockpile. 7. Lastly, to the question of when the US will join the war. The earliest is end of this week. The Nimitz arrives on Monday next week. PS: When Trump said evacuate Tehran, cut short his G7 trip early, asked the Situation Room be set up, and China asked its citizens to leave Israel immediately, it was because of Iranian preparations. The US was poised to join the war yesterday. Iran severely downgraded the scope the attack. That was done to avoid a repeat of the events of Day 1, where the US joins while they haven't made adequate preparations. Yesterday, Iran got its confirmation that the US will join the war at some point the longer it takes. There were still internal doubts about the intent and scope of US involvement. Crazy to think that they still had doubts, but remember that these are still the same guys who thought Israel was bluffing. Now everyone in Iran knows that those squadrons of tankers and fighter jets coming to the ME are not an intimidation tactic. They will be used. They got a few extra precious days to prepare for the US landfall by reducing the scope of yesterday's attack. I must add that while the bluff thing was one of the many spectacular failures of Iranian intelligence, the military has demonstrated impressive fortitude and resilience. They'll face their biggest test next week. But they should be heartened by the fact that the US wants to win a war in Asia without ground troops. After just failing to do so against the Houthis. The US should pray and fast that Boeing, yes that Boeing, who is in charge of building and upgrading the GBU-57 did a better job on the buster than on their jetliners. If they don't eliminate all of Iranian nuclear sites, they'll be in a quagmire worse than Operation Eagle Claw. That dumpster fire ended Carter's Presidency. -Lord |
