floflo12:Then contact them, it could be an error on their part. They've already moved past your date 2 weeks ago. They aren't going to circle back if they don't know. If they had noticed, they'd have done it by now |

Hello and good evening everyone. I have a quick question as regards documents o be taken to the embassy. As regards the photocopies to be made of our original documents (passport and certificates), are they expected to be coloured photocopies? This question also relates to all official school documents. Do they have to be coloured when printed? |

sussybae:Thank you for the response. Is it advisable to go for another masters degree at age 40? Does it worth it? My intended course is tech program but any future for age 40 in Germany after graduation? |

No, I didn't receive any additional email. Am I meant to receive an additional email? Hello everyone, Also, considering that it’s now clear my visa appointment might not happen until sometime next year (I applied on the 1st July 2024), would you advise that I go ahead with my enrollment? My program is scheduled to start in October, and enrollment closes in November. The only thing left for me to do is to pay the tuition, student body, and student service fees. I’m considering enrolling so I can start my classes while still in Nigeria, pending when I’m able to travel. Has anyone here taken this route before? I’d really appreciate any advice or shared experiences. I’d really appreciate any advice or shared experiences from those who’ve been in a similar situation. Thanks. BigOG: |

Imitxr:Why not ask them to defer your admission to the Summer Semester? To me, that's much better. You can consider the option of enrolling in and taking your classes online if you are less concerned about the perceived "experience" and the associated cost. |

ChromeTheory314:Tübingen is undoubtedly a great university, but it now charges tuition fees. You might want to consider several other tuition-free universities that allow you to defer or reapply using your previous admission letter. |

Please i want to confirm, do Germany student visa allow dependent? |
| Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by pineapplejuice: 7:13pm On Jun 17, 2025 |
Oigiangbe10:No. Your dependents apply separately, they can't go with you at the same time. |

I heard about a certain information / rumor that once you have admission you are to upload your documents on the German consulate portal and you will be given admission date if selected Heard it started last month How true is it |
| Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by pineapplejuice: 10:57pm On Jun 17, 2025 |
ChromeTheory314:Not true, people on the new portal will only get an appointment after everyone who applied through the old portal have gotten theirs. Unless you’re a scholarship holder, you have no priority. Only people applying for the first time apply through the new portal, then you’re put on the waiting list. |

Classes at my university started march 24th 2025. I enrolled and my visa interview is in 2weeks. I just heard from someone that I would be asked if I was attending classes. How do I tackle the question when asked? @Hannania 🙏🏽 I need urgent reply please. |

Hello good people. I'm interested in masters program in Germany (English version). Please kindly advise me on how to start this process. What should I do first? Next and next? How long would it take from start to getting visa? Do Germany give job to graduates of courses in English? Thanks in anticipation. |
| Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by Nobody: 1:29am On Jun 18, 2025 |
Pesky54:In Germany, universities are generally flexible with course loads. As a student, you can often shift courses around or take a semester off without penalty. What matters is clear communication. Inform the VO that you're coordinating with your student advisor to balance your workload. Affirm to the fact the delay in appointment for your interview made you missed resumption but that does not affect your enrollment because you are in communication with your course advisor to balance and shift some courses to other semesters. They know these things, so juts chill. |

I tried that, but they simply said I am welcome to re-apply for the summer 2026 session. So, I have sent a mail asking for a more definite response. Harry4cas: |
