Ofunaofu:
While Nigeria bleeds, Tinubu books a beach.

Insecurity is at an all-time high, inflation is choking families, and more Nigerians are dying than in actual war zones and yet Tinubu’s priority is sunbathing in Saint Lucia? Apparently, that’s the reward for doing absolutely nothing while your country burns. This isn’t leadership; it’s elite abandonment at its peak
..... what is he going to that small island to do self,
....

It should be a week-long visit to Benue, Nassarawa, Plateau and Niger with attendant reforms such as total ban on open grazing. Only this will help citizens, not a worthless visit to countries under visa ban!
Let the govs declare it.....they will surely have the backing of the president,it's within their powers to do so.

In their own mind they believe the president should b omnipresent n omnipotent, they want d president to b everywhere at the same time without considering that there are some people who can oversee those roles too
....Lead by example, your people are dieing in droves and you decide to go on an inconsequential travel.

Tinubu no get anybody time, imagine all the crises and insecurity going on especially in Benue. What a fantastic president undecided
He has been pushing for state police, let every state police themselves and stop waiting for order from Abuja but you same obidients shotvit down claiming how it would be counter productive and will be used by govs to oppress their opponents......can you now see the folly in your thinking now blaming same man who had already proffered a solution to the insecurity,if Benue was policing itself many of this crises would have been effectively mitigated.....tinubu had already told you the solution, state police and local govt autonomy to drive development at the grassroots but obidients with their tribalistic politics can't see beyond their noses.

May PDP & Athiefkú never happen to Nigeria ever again.
Do you know better than ebilokan's finance minister huh

Or you don't want our country to return to high employment productivity for widespread prosperity instead of the extreme poverty unleashed n 200 million Nigerians by cluelessly incompetent APC rogues?

thisweekng:
The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy Chief Olawale Edun has said the last time Nigeria’s economy looked stable was about a decade ago.

He made this statement during his maiden press conference as Minister of Finance where he outlined President Bola Tinubu’s vision, agenda and strategy for the economy.

He said, “I think as we all know, we are not where we should be. The economy is barely growing above the rate of population growth.

“But it was not always so, and I think in trying to look at the way forward, if we now have a situation of slow growth, double-digit inflation, weak/depreciating exchange rate, as well as security concerns that are resulting in an economy that is not growing and not taking Nigerians out of poverty.

“If we think back to the last time when the economy was stable- when it was growing, when inflation was low, and the interest rate was affordable, that period was about a decade ago. Growth was about 6% in 2013 and 2014.”

Let's be honest and say he is going for a vacation.

Ogun State is bigger and better than St. Lucia and the country has no importance or relevance to Nigeria in any way.
Re: Tinubu To Embark On Weeklong Official Visit In Saint Lucia From June 28 by Ofunaofu: 10:42am On Jun 18, 2025
Putindbutt:
President is in Benue today, the visit is still on the 28th. But as usual, bitter people will open mouth and cry needlessly. They mount on rooftops to cry over any negative news but when terrorists are being killed, they crawl back under their beds.. enemies of the state dem.
You call people “enemies of the state” simply for demanding accountability yet you say nothing when real suffering is ignored. The president is in Benue, yes. Good. But when will he visit the flood victims in Mokwa, Niger State? Or do those lives not matter enough for a presidential visit?

It’s not bitterness to speak out when people are dying or displaced while the nation’s leader vacations abroad. It’s called conscience. If holding leaders accountable makes us “enemies,” then maybe your definition of patriotism is just blind worship of failure. Nigeria deserves better and so do its people

We want him to stay in Nigeria

Yesterday we saw Trump leave the G7 summit and go back home

I am not one of those people that attacks Tinubu for political reasons

But even if you are his supporter to have credibility one must speak truth

To announce a VACATION at a time like this is VERY INSENSITIVE

Not everything should be defended. This is WRONG

If Nigeria was peaceful are there not enough places to vacation in Nigeria?

St Lucia is a COUNTRY WITH A LAND MASS THE SIZE OF OWERRI

Why is he going there for 7 days for what reason.? Also if it is VACATION will he hand over to his deputy

IS THIS NOT THE SAME ST LUCIA THAT SANWO- OLU WENT FOR BIRTHDAY PARTY

When you read from the writer, you will agree with me he is from the bitter side. The writer was busy putting his/her own personal opinion and hatred of Tinubu to sell him for criticism majorly among always 5%-bittered people by default. The writer never showed professionalism in the reportage

The Presidency did not announce it , it was announced by the Prime Minister of St Lucia and the visit is slated for June 28th. So why the fuss?

TimeManager:
When the PM of St Lucia visited Aso rock a few months ago to see Mr President, he specifically requested Mr President to visit his country to enhance the African bonding and ancestral affinity. Very good of Mr President to reciprocate.

-Kiss the truth!
When Nigerians are crying out for safety, the President's priority shouldn't be 'ancestral bonding'. Leadership is about timing and right now, the only trip Tinubu should be making is to the frontline of Nigeria's insecurity, not a Caribbean courtesy visit.

Now kiss reality
