Hotel cost more . Hotels are more profitable than house for rent.

Yes hotel is more profitable but depending on location, I prefer renting it out but instead of paying yearly let the tenants pay monthly. That's how I plan to manage my property when I get one, and I will make it very affordable

When you are done building, you will collect 3 years at once if possible. Building for tenants is the gain of children unless you build early in life and able to enjoy the house rent for 30 years.

Hotel wins by a wide margin.

Build to rent and sell

Usually if you understand properties well enough
You should be able to build and make profit from the 8th year

Hotels have high overhead

Bros to say for mouth easy than in reality.
Paying house rent monthly is no longer visible in Nigeria of today.
There's one of our property 2 building, 8 flat each in a big compound.
The tenant was to be paying monthly, they still defaulted, we extended it to every three months, same thing, so we decided to make it every six months, some tenant still didn't meet up, then we better go for the annual payment. Even at that some of them still dey wait reach three months before they renew the rent.
Build first before you kwn waiting dey.

Building hotel is more profitable than residential house, but one thing, it depends on the hotel location and it's standard.
