What has Sanwo Olu done wrong now. One of the Late Pope was in a mosque. "In 2014, Pope Francis visited the Blue Mosque in Istanbul during a trip to Turkey. He prayed silently alongside the Grand Mufti of Istanbul, Rahmi Yaran, facing Mecca. The Vatican described the event as a "moment of silent adoration" and a gesture of inter-religious harmony" |

bolaayenimo:but this means nothing anyways. As a christian, we do invite our Muslim neighbours to child dedication in church and they do join us in church activities. When it becomes a problem is if he revisits the mosque again and again, or possibly renounce his faith. |

All thse nonsense talks make no sense at all because I sometimes attend Muslim stuffs with my friends who are Muslim infact my PA is a Muslim when he had a baby 2 weeks ago I was sitting same way Sanwo sat in he second picture and that does not make me a Muslim and I wont be either, it is called religious tolerant. When I was in the Gambia way back then our landlady is a Muslim as you all know Gambia is near 95% Muslim we sometime to eat the early food with her and her family during fasting she will call me and my friends to join them with love not force or religion sentiment so what is the big deal now in Sanwo sitting with muslims? If you calledd it politics fine if you called anything that is your headache but for me nothing specially here. Those headless movs won't talk about their obi who was running around the North here, attending this anndd that and suddenly wearing Mallam cap. |

Godjone:Was Obi a moslem when he was parabulating from one mosque to the other during the election campaign? Oh you have forgotten so soon. Igboooooo. A Governor of a state visit any religious place if invited-all of them because they are not allowed to discriminate. Is Sanwo the first Christian Governor to attend a mosque? He's allowed to attend Osun and ifa worship places. This selective condemnation is another reason other ethnic groups will never vote for Obi again |

A strong member of Mountain of Fire 🔥 and a Former House Fellowship Leader for that matter. See him inside a Mosque opening his hands all because of political Favour. People can go any length to sell their souls. How many Mallam or Imam will you see in a church kneeling down because he wants political favor. |

When you come across the Yorùbá people, you immediately notice how united they are. At first, you might mistake their rowdiness for disunity, but on a closer look, you'd see just how knitted they are. An Egba man would never say he's different from the Awori man. The Ijesha man would never say he's different from the Epe man. Yet, these are all individual dialects of the Yorùbá language. This is why they would always be united, because they put the tribe first before anything else. No matter how rich you are, you dare not challenge the Oba of your community. They have titles that must be given to anyone by a particular Oba and the ones to be given by another Oba, and all titles would still be regarded across the entire Yorùbá land. But today, the Ika man would tell you that he's different from the Ukwuani man. The Enuani man would tell you that he's different from the Ikwerre man. The Enugwu man would tell you he's different from the Abakeleke man. Yet these are merely dialects of the Igbo nation. Whilst our neighbours strengthen their brotherhood despite their dialects, we are busy dismantling ours over same. We highlight the difference in Igbo dialects and give room for these dialects to then claim independence. This clearly visible disunity has allowed outsiders infiltrate our people, leading them on to further divide us. Today, the Ika people claim they're not Igbo, rather an independent nation. The Ukwuani people too are denying Igbo, claiming to be an independent nation. The Ika dialect claiming to be independent is like the Ijesha dialect claiming not to be Yorùbá simply because they speak a different dialect(that is still understood by others) unique to them. All these identity crisis and denials you see online and offline, is the effect of decades of being lied to and being manipulated. Look at the distance from Ika to the core East. Look at the distance from Ika to Edo State. They're very close to Edo and farther from the East. So tell me how the Ika man speaks Igbo that is far from him, and not Edo that is just by the corner? That alone should tell you that they're Igbo. Again, look at the culture and traditions. We use the Igbo native market days and the Ọfo. We address our kings and Obi Agu and Eze. We address our people as nwannem or umunne m. We use Igbo spirituality and consciousness. Yet, the East is far away from here. We all know that Igbos are travellers and that we copy everything we see and suit it to our benefits. The Edo dresses (not Akwa ocha) most of us wear, are as a result of trading with the Edo people over the decades. Our Igbo roots are so clear that even the British referred to us as "Midwest Igbos." Those claiming that we are Edo people who arrived here and were influenced by the Igbos should explain how we claim to have founded these places we occupy today, only for the Igbo visitors to completely wipe out our original Edo language, spirituality and consciousness. The only possible explanation, is that the Igbos already lived in this place before we arrived and since the dominating population was Igbo, they influenced us to speak Igbo. By this analogy, it means the Igbos were the original settlers here. And it means that Igbos colonised us and not Edo colonising Igbos. There's no way the Edo colonisers would end up with the identity of their s.laves instead of vice versa. England colonised us and left every part of Nigeria with the English language and the Portuguese brought Christianity. Even with these, every tribe still retained their spirituality and culture. So you can see the imprint of Western control through the language and religion that came with it. Most of us are Christians today because of this. So how come we now claim Edo when we practice Igbo culture and traditions? If Edo colonised us, shouldn't we be speaking Edo, praying Edo and doing everything Edo? Is the Edo language so weak that the Igbos washed it off so easily? Anioma people are majorly Igbo. With the exception of the Odiani people who are originally Akoko yoruba dialect, we are Igbos. If there are any Edo migrants amongst us, then they're in very small portions across the area. Even the Odiani people still bear Yorùbá names and practice some distinct Yorùbá Olùkùmi culture and traditions till date, which points out their original ancestry. The Edo migrants should show us theirs. They can deny all they want and argue all they want, but unless they cease to use the Ọfọ and the Ani deity, their Igbo identity is loud and clear. Hating the Igbo nation is like hating yourselves. Inferiority complex of the highest form. Daalụ nu. |

Treasure17:That’s a big fat lie. I went to a govt school, I taught for a short while a government school. Christian students don’t join the Muslims for Friday Jumah prayers or go to the mosque at anytime to join the prayers. Don’t spin a silly narrative. |

Bloggers sha. Let's even ignore the fact that it's photoshopped. Is it today he has been attending mosque services. He is the governor of all. Most govt parastatals have their Christmas programs and fasting period programmes and whoever the head of the agency is he/she will attend inspite of religious affiliations. |

saphiere:You just aptly described how sane humans are supposed to be and this is something both the Easterner s and the northern people of this country are lacking. It’s called religious tolerance and it’s very normal in a sane society. Also, as a political leader of a multicultural and multi religious society, it’s pertinent that you don’t show too much affinity to your culture/religion to the detriment of others. A good leader should have no religion in order for his sense of judgement to not be impaired by his religious convictions and sentiments. A very good example of a sane society is the SW and even the United States of America where kings and Presidents are seen wining and dining with Christians, Muslims, traditionalists and Jews. It’s not uncommon to see United States Christian presidents visiting Jewish temples while wearing skull caps. |

It's no big deal as it doesn't remove the fact that he's still a Christian! Many Christians marry to Muslims do same at festivals! |
