Those that get addicted to drugs end up dying at times. Crime increases, fueled by drugs and drug money, so there is that. And even innocents are getting killed. In one case, a Nigeria that was behaving suspiciously got killed by one of the locals in an Indian city who suspected him to be a drug dealer. Turns out the Nigerian that died wasn't carrying drugs. And the local that killed him ends up in jail for trying to protect his community from the drug menace.

India is not like USA where the family unit is facing systemic dismantlement by the government. No. India is deeply connected to lineages and clans. It is family centered. And thus community feeling is strong here. Drug trade will hurt the young ones and that will earn the wrath of the community. It could get ugly if all Indians start regarding all black Africans as drug traders. Call it racism, but after a certain level, its just self defence and prudence. And innocents get caught up and die in the process. Its a double tragedy, for Indians and Nigerians alike. All because some criminals wanted to make a quick buck.
