In 2018 the Knight Institute sued Donald Trump on behalf of people that he had blocked on social media. They said that he used his personal account to communicate official issues and therefore their right to access such information had been violated. The court had ordered that he should unblock the people and Trump had appealed the decision. The Supreme Court later vacated the ruling because the case could not be concluded before Trump lefr office. erniok:I noticed it earlier, however that does not change the fact that it remains his private account and their is a different official account for President of the united states which Trump choose never to use if I remember correctly. The judges overreached, which they do severally as Trump causes too much chaos regularly. If they wanted to correct Trump that he should stop using his private diary to announce policy decisions, they should have done it in some other way. Let's not forget that this is the same America, same Trump, and same justice system, that wanted to crucify Hillary because she used her private email to do work when she was Secretary of State. bluebay:It's a different scenario. Sanwo Olu is the governor of Lagos state. He is accountable to all Lagosians. In the eyes of the law, he erred, he has no legal right to shut down or block a citizen on his page. He is a public figure. This is one of the reasons why laws are not static, they are dynamic in nature. If Nigeria citizens know their rights, things will not be like the way it is in Nigeria.
