Please I want to renew my passport which still remains 8months to expire , what reason should I give and Which of the renewal reason options should I choose ?

I don't think that's a good idea, I'm still contemplating on doing it myself or using an agent, I no want wahala o.

Police report is a standard or mandated requirement for a stolen or missing Nigerian passport.
Another option is, wait until the validity of your passport is 6 months and apply for a renewal.
Using an agent for passport applications can lead to several disadvantages, including potential for fraud, delays, errors, and increased costs.

So after applying I did my capturing on 21st of April, immediately I got there and told them I registered online they directed me to servicom, the woman there helped me arrange everything and told me the documents to photocopy, after that I gave her 2k out of my own Goodwill, so I went to the waiting area and waited almost 6 hours, they kept telling me different stories until the servicom woman came out and was surprised to see me still waiting she helped me finish everything and I was captured.
I went back today and collected the passport and I didn't pay shishi to anyone.

Date of application 8/4/2025
Date of capturing/biometrics 21/04/2025
Passport printed 12/6/2025
Passport collected 27/6/2025

I have been reading and seeing many people that captured in May have collected already. Though i paid for home delivery. Does it mean, it will be delivered to my door step on the collection date as stated on the slip after capturing. Please i need clarification, thanks.
Processed DIY at NIS office in Alimosho but its still writing pending production on the portal

I believed your passport is ready and at the immigration centre you did biometric,but since you paid for home delivery ,call the NIS number to make complaint ,that way is likely to fast track the delivery.

Suprised you weren't given a small paper slip for collection date,Although from observation that paper is meant to control applicants from coming at a particular day which may result to crowd.Did mine in June ,and paper slip carries August for collection.

Is that Mosan centre at Abeokuta ? I had use this place for my first passport too,they issue passport fast aswell.

Hi All.

Want to apply for a passport for my boy. We have a certificate from the village council certifying he is a native and the local government and state where the village is located. It's in certificate template.


But not a certificate from the local government council yet. Don't know whether to go on with the certificate from the village council or wait for the LG certificate from the LG council.

Any advise would be appreciated

You just need to reschedule your appointment on the passport portal and ensure that you verify the status of your application prior to your appointment date: payment status should show 'paid' and approval status should show 'vetted'.

You can still go

Just go with all the necessary documents...NIN, state/local government certificate, birth certificate etc

You will be told what to do by the immigration officers and it will be resolved right there

My place of birth is Ikorodu but what's on my NPC birth certificate is Ikeja?

So during the online registration I imputed Ikorodu.
Will it cause issues during capturing?

Go back to NPC and explain yourself, they should be able to reissue
