I don't support The App coys for this. I guess it's an accumulation of complaints from more than 1 rider. But not withstanding, Bolt is supposed to reach out to the Driver to find out what may have happened.
Although a defaulting driver will never say what happened so they just just multiple reports of the same thing to make their decision. Concluding that multiple people can't be wrong about the same thing.

From my experience, my advice is always report bad experiences on a ride. Always be the first to report as soon as u end the trip. Anything as little as bad attitude and body language even though u don't have any verbal communication should be reported. Cos u don't know the rider that will report u.
Trust me. No multiple reports. It was intitally a rider reported you. And when asked what happened, that's when the response began to be in plural.
I suspect who could have done this. A rider who refused to pay. I even made this known to bolt immediately. So you see, Bolt system is sick!

And as you said, driver ought to be told what happened. I didn't even know about the block as a part time driver that I am. Apparently, I've been blocked 3 days before I knew since it's a week block.
IT just speaks to the passenger centric system we partner with as drivers. They don't value drivers. Any passenger can decide to report you tomorrow. And fiam, trust me, Bolt will yank you off. So if you are thinking of committing a huge sum of money into this, think twice.

what they did is actually nonsense, they could have contacted you first and hear your side of the story then relate it with what the rider said and with that, they should be able to deduce who's lying and who's not before acting.

I hate being lied against and still get punished for it, sorry bro..

that's why we have to manage situations well with this riders, they can frustrate someone, personally, once I sense trouble, I don't even engage the person that will later heat the situation, I just drive and drop you off and collect my money and leave jejely, so you can't even fabricate any lies against me coz your conscience self will be like this guy no talk o

I think Indrive, Bolt and Uber are in the Tom and Jerry race of who's going, and not going to lose customers/riders. So, they keep the prices low as much as they can to retain riders.
Indrive is even worse - they give riders more reduction power.
I saw a trip that brought 13.5k, the rider cancelled and reduced it to 9k.
Like, what tha eff, bro!

I think drivers are the ones enabling these guys. Imagine 1k ride on Indrive. We've gone back to pre-subsidy removal era when fuel was sold for 198/litre.

How will any rational human being take such trips. I mean, you'll have to drive to where this person is, wait for them to come out, take the disrespect and risk of taking them to their destination, sometimes, even carry heavy load or many riders and collect such amount of money?
After you will tell me to invest 5 million Naira for this business. Na person wey no get sense go carry that amount go sink am for ehailing. Peanuts and Ekpa money can't recoup 5m investment. Never !!! Your Car go work till the engine and gear kpai

People drive for various reasons...Many just wants to pay bills and I have been in this category before...This biz was not designed to be a long haul neither was it made to be the way we have adopted it here....Some driver just needed it to get to their destination to do other things.. I have a car, I needed to be on the island for a meeting by 8am. I'll just switch on my app and pick a rider going my way! That trip will sort out my fuel. Such drivers can conveniently pick Ikeja to V.I for 5k, switch on AC, play good music and it will just be smile all the way! When I was very much active, 9 out of 10 riders would ask me within 10 mins of our ride if am a regular driver and I'll answer YES! I'll switched on AC, play my good music, solid absorber, neatly dressed because am either going to work or coming back, car smells nicely! They don't get that often! All for 5k from ICM to V.I.
Believe me, thousands are in this category..They are not losers! The biggest losers here are the ones driving 16 hrs a day, 7 days a week! The two biggest and perhaps ready made Hussle in Lagos today is house agent or Uber driver. Any guy on the street is either one of the two. I hope we see this Hussle for what it is, a brief journey! Make it BRIEF!

My advise is to sell your v6 and look for a car with a smaller engine.

Ask tojahh any questions you have concerning CNG and it's installation. He has helped many drivers here get theirs installed and functional. He will assist you with most answers you seek wink

Not true. You could have entered that back of yabatech road then take your next right. It will bring you back to the university road. You could have even used reverse.

Also, try negotiate with them before they take you to their office.

Be selective in your rides... You don't have to accept all rides you see

Wow! Unfortunately, the way forward is to pay the money, unless you have someone at the top that can help you talk to them. After all, the road was blocked and you had to turn back.
