shoodboi2:I laugh at your clever subterfuge, implying that the foreign military policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran is not based on their religious beliefs, especially when you downplayed the part about their so-called Shia Messiah. Iranians living in Iran would disagree with you. Let me just stop here, as I don't want this to devolve into religious talks, which I dislike. Those who have eyes have already seen and those who have ears have already heard. Ire o. |

WritterNg:The way these people think is astonishing. So you entered another person's country to blow up their properties but crying that you didn't touch their people or properties? Iran can also blow up their stuffs around them and say the same thing. Afterall, what are you even doing close to my home for a start? |

Masterviolence:Why are you even stressing yourself? Iran's supreme leader is the cause of the problems, because I don't understand the reason he kept blocking Iran's military from developing nukes. China, Russia and North Korea were ready to help, yet he kept talking about Religion, that religion, like Pakistan, is also not a Mulsim nation. His case will be similar to Yeltsin's until Putin comes to power. The next Supreme Leader will surely build those nukes. How can you watch all your neighbours that are not USA allies get destroyed, but you believe only drones and missiles? All Iranian military allies have been killed due to the incompetence of the supreme leader, so that even those who hated Iran are saying the same thing, and I think that's the reason they haven't killed him yet. We all remembered how Trump and co made noise about NK, even though NK have a military pact with China, NK still went ahead to develop nukes. Allies can betray you, and we all saw the history of WW1 and WW2, when Britain failed to help Poland after promising them and how Romania switched to the USSR side. He is the perfect Israeli MOSSAD/CIA agent against Iran. Why kill him? Just my own take |

Masterviolence:Iran doesn't hate israel, if it did, Jews wouldn't be thriving in Iran Iran's grouse with israel originates from Jewish dispossession of Palestinians and American wars and hostile actions in the region done on behalf of israel Iran is a very rational country, even if it possessed nuclear weapons, it's nuclear doctrine would be one of strategic defence .i.e. to be used only in response to a nuclear attack on them Americans should be very concerned. israel controls their politics, their politicians are beholden to israel and are loyal to israel over them Even though I doubt that Iran's main nuclear facilities have been destroyed, Iran's nuclear program hasn't and that's the main point. The nuclear program is still active and the strikes could amount to a superficial victory, depending on what course Iran's nuclear program takes |

And I agree, Iran is just all over the place, like they are confused, no real strategy or plans. You would have thought after all this years they are experienced and well prepared but no, they just throw missiles up and down. I blame this regime though, too much religion has finish them. IMEI:An argument devoid of logic as usual. Jews wouldn't be thriving in Iran if Iran hates Israel. Iran hates Israel and that's a fact. It doesn't matter to them if you are a Jew, as long as you are a Muslim first, you are safe. Or are there no Jewish Muslims again? Those are the ones existing in Iran. |

Kingsnairaland:Iran refuse the peace deal? What is the peace deal? No enrichment and no missiles program. What kind of deal is that? In negotiations everyone makes sacrifice to come to an agreement. It's like me saying; Kingsnairaland it's either I shoot you or blow you with a bomb, choose one. Do we have a deal? |
| Re: Russia-Ukraine War: World News, Weapons & Battlefield Discussions - Live by shoodboi2: 4:00pm On Jun 22, 2025 |
Kingsnairaland:Iran clearly wasn't the one that started this war. Iran was not the one that has threatened to nuke Israel. Iran wasn't the one that bombed an embassy. Iran wasn't the that killed Israeli nuclear scientists and military officers. Iran was not the one that bragged about assassinating Israeli political leaders. Iran isn't the one with a nuke. Iran isn't the one talking about how Israel is months away from acquiring nuclear weapons since 1992. Iran isn't the one with Mossad spies and sleeper cells inside Israel. The US and Israel and their gang of bullies have been on Iran's case ever since Iran kicked out the Shah dictator they imposed on them. Are you saying that the situation in Iran would have been different if the Shiites and democrats had not taken over from the Shah? Or you think the US and Israel wouldn't have been trying to destroy Iran irrespective of who leads them. From Russia to China to Cuba to Venezuela to Iraq, Libya, North Korea, and even Iran itself, it has always been the same thing, irrespective of the religion the leader practices. It is Israel that is trying to destroy Iran and not the other way around. And don't forget that Iran has a Jewish population too. In fact, it has the highest Jewish population outside of Israel. And they are not been persecuted. Even Christians live freely in Iran. If Iran wanted to kill Jews, it would have started with its own Jewish citizens. |

FoolishBoy419:1 OF 3 That's old news. I know we tend to take Medvedev's statement as those of a hardline politician. Sort of like Russia's Lindsay Graham. He is a politician, part of the government, but his profile as a decision maker is unclear. But this is Medvedev's resume. President of Russia - 2008 to 2012 Prime Minister of Russia - 2012 to 2020 Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation - 2020 to Present The Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation is President Putin. He is a high-profile decision maker representing a powerful contingent in the Russian establishment. So if Medvedev is saying Iran will acquire a nuclear weapon and offers are available to send nukes to Iran at a moment's notice. That is as clear as it'll ever get that Iran either has a nuke or the Axis Powers will give it one as a backstop. 2/3 3/3 -Lord |

2 OF 3 The more relevant topic is why the Axis chose this perilous path when the North Korea option is available? The only reason I can come up with are economic reasons. Bar Iran, China, and Russia, the core network of the Axis are North Korea, Cuba, and Venezuela. The latter 3 are stuck in a bottle economically. Even Pakistan, a nuclear power that is not an Axis power but has firm security guarantees from China is an economic basket case. North Korea, Cuba and Venezuela have small populations. Iran's population rivals or is larger than any country in Europe. It is also a large country. If it is struggling to cope with sanctions on its nuclear program, what will sanctions after it acquires a nuke do to its economy? What will harsher sanctions do to its polity, when current sanctions has led to the election of a very obvious snake and Westernophile in Pezeshkian. Iran is far more politically fragile than North Korea and Cuba. Perhaps, this is why they are bent on a nuclear agreement. China already bankrolls Iran by buying 80% of its oil. Any more sanctions and it'll need to be signing direct checks that'll never be paid back. Iran should help the Big 2 lighten the load or at worst be net neutral. Not add more weight than all the other dependents combined. The quagmire is at what point do they pull the plug on this agreement path and test a nuke? What is the trigger for that? Khamenei's death? The US starting a regime change operation? I suppose that'll be the subject of Araqchi meeting with Putin tomorrow. -Lord |

3 of 3 Right now, Iran has to respond to the US. Yes, the US bombed its facilities. But the US attack did not kill anyone. If prelim reports are to be believed, the attack did not completely destroy Fordo and Isfahan. So Iran needs to calibrate a direct response that will not draw first blood but cost the US. What is that response? What if it fails and there are fatalities? What if that is a trap? The US can conduct a hot war. It'll be mostly aerial for the time being, but it can do it. At worst, the Democrats will protest in the US. And Trump's MAGA base will not vote in the mid terms. But that was going to happen anyway. Do the Axis want to fight a proxy war in Iran? Will Khamenei survive such a war? Is that war worth it? If you want an agreement to avoid bankrolling Iran in perpetuity. Is a hot conflict with the US a better alternative? I'll give it to Iran for trying this path. Heaven knows they've paid a huge, inestimable price. But I'm sure many are questioning the plan. What is the off-ramp? Perhaps, it is time to open the parachute. Detonate a nuke in a test and end the war. Or perhaps, there are more chapters in this book. More stanzas in this poem. -Lord |

Procashtips:I am very tired of them. We have gone round this so many times already. We can discuss Iran's neverending issues with the West without making a single mention of religion. The same Israel has repeatedly encouraged the West to repeatedly go to war with the Middle East over flimsy excuses. Now, when those people defend themselves, they paint them as the aggressor. |
