I would advice you to read Richard Koch's classic, bestselling investment and business book which I have in right my home library, entitled "The 80/20 Principle" which among other time management and investment topics emphasizes on the FACT that cumulatively, the majority of the riches folks (USD multimillionaires and USD billionaires) are investors. If you have financial literacy, you don't even need to establish a business as a business owner directly but simply invest in other established businesses.

Richard Koch himself is a wealthy British investor, George Soros and Warren Buffett are investors

Indeed, the vast amount of the net-worths of those names ATTACHED right ABOVE come from shareholdings in investments and part-ownerships of the businesses they ORIGINALLY founded or co-founded.

If instead of hawking, if he carried a placard along the road saying he is a level 500 student of medicine and he wants to dropout because of lack of funds, I am sure one or two motorist will help him, if they are convinced of his story. His school fees is nothing to many people. The money they spend on their boerboels in a week is more than his feeding allowance in a month!

As he is even hawking, if he dresses well, and sounds educated, one or two motorists will ask him questions and when they learn about his history, they'll feel pity for him. They won't even want to see him hawking again.

When fraud taints lawyer’s professional conduct, it means he’s not fit and proper. Therefore, if the persons you mentioned were found guilty of this prohibited act, then they are not cool headed.

Over and above expertise of a lawyer is integrity.

A lawyer with integrity will act only in the sole interest of his client. And this includes keeping safe fund he’s holding in trust for his clients.

It’s not unusual to find few bad eggs in any profession and law is definitely not an exception in this regards. And this has nothing to do with the country. Bad people are abound everywhere even in religion centers.

Have been offered to hold a brief of a colleague who promised to pay my professional fees after the job. He asked me to share my bank details in the morning before stepping out.

I returned from court and sent him detailed reports of the proceedings; in fact they were two briefs I held for him.

If he’s going to pay me my professional fees till today. No calls or text from him to at least explain his reasons . And I still see his WhatsApp stories every now and then.

I didn’t bother to even ask for the money. I just moved on.

So, in summary , there are definitely bad players in the industry as well. And the disciplinary committee of the Nigerian legal profession are trying their best to ensure the industry is purged of these bad actors.
