Abeg make una no vex. Dem say person wey dey ask questions, no suppose miss road. Please can someone enlighten me on the function of the share button on nairaland. It is not like the retweet or repost button on other social media like Facebook, X etc that allow individuals to share other people's post. So, if that's not the case, what then is the function. Thank you!

The above person has just explained to him what he wants. It's not everytime you attack.
He asked because you will Share some post or comments and it won't reflect. Many a times people will share comments here and it won't reflect on the page. So like this first comment explained, shared Comments are only noticeable to those who follows each other. One would think that once you share a comment, it will be seen on the page by everyone as obtainable in other social media but here it's only those who follow you will see it

Share button on NL is Like P in Psychology, K in Knives

He is not correct. The share button is similar to the like button, when you click on share on nairaland, it's like saying "this is my view/thought too". The share button on nairaland does not move the post or topic to your followers. You may like someone's post but do not share his view while in other hand you can like the post and also go a little further to say this is my view/thought too by clicking on SHARE

Okay Sharp...The only time I click on share button is whenever I see a comment share for like for .

The share button on nairaland actually moves the post to your followers
And you will see that on the "SH" icon just after "Edit Profile"
