Reading through the interview, one can't help but see the hypocrisy. All the things he condemned and complained about he has increased in multiple folds in his presidency

What is also not in doubt is his closeness with IBB. Even now that he has taken office, IBB is not being asked to account for his role in June 12. Instead, he attended IBB's book launch to whitewash IBB's ignoble role in the matter. Let's not kid ourselves. The whole talk of democracy and democratic credentials are a farce!!

What the poster you responded does not understand, because he is a typical Obidient, is that poltical mentee means an individual mentored by a leader who has then gone on to be great himself/herself as per the guidance and influence of his/her mentor.

That is what we need to see with Atiku and Obi. They should point at even one leader today, as Tinubu literally has thousands, they moulded into leadership efficacy and greatness.

Chief MKO Abiola left Nigeria unanounced on August 3rd, 1993. His team said that he had gone to seek international support.

I remember that period very well. The Federal Military Government ran an advert campaign on the NTA Network Service and the campaign was targetted at parents and guardians. They implied that Chief Abiola had fled abroad and that parents and guardians should not allow their children to suffer and die on the streets (protest) for someone that had fled abroad. They said that Chief Abiola and his family would not join the protesters on the streets.

Chief Abiola returned to Nigeria on September 23rd, 1993 and Channels TV and other media houses interviewed Senator Bola Tinubu after Chief Abiola's return.
