The main point is not about joining East or not, but most Anioma want a separate state of their own. Urhobo which are the majority in Delta always yab them as Igbo migrant.

They will benefit more when they have their own state. That's the point

Just give us a separate state outside delta State. Wether it be counted as part of the south south or south east is secondary, "give us a separate state first, we'll decide which region it is later"

Mark my words Anioma people are solidly behind Nwoko and all he needs is the APC ticket for 2027 senatorial seat and he will clinch. Nwoko is a tiger and place sneaky but dangerous politics.
