like every other boundary state, especially those that are primarily homogenous states in terms of tribe, you have mixed tribes who are indigenes in boundaries of other states inhabitated by other tribes. For example, ohosu/ Okwada are boundary areas between Benin and Yoruba, between auchi, ighara and kogi, you find mixed tribes who are indigenes there. The etsako people, ebira, Igala are indigenes there,also in parts of kogi bordering Edo state. Same goes for delta and anambra.there are some igbo indigenes between isele uku and anambra, same way we have some kwale people in delta central, some isoko indigenes in delta north.nzeogwu was from okpanam, a supposed boundary with east, a predominantly igbo zone

The guy in this video is very ignorant. He keeps saying that Ojukwu rejected decree 8 and didn't attend the meeting in Benin city, as if these were the issue. Yes Ojukwu was not happy with Decree 8 because he did not feel it fully implement what was agreed at Aburi, but Decree was not the problem

The real problem, and what directly led to the conflict was Gowon's Decree 14 and 15. Less than two months after Decree 8, Gowon issued Decree 14 and 15 on the same day. Decree 14 abolished all 4 Rwgions, created 12 states to replace them, half of which were given to the North

Decree 15 abolished resource control. Even Gowon knows that if it were Ojukwu that issued these two terrible decrees, it would cause war

You and the guy should go and educate your selves by googling Gowons Decree 14 and 15. If Ironsi had abolished the 4 Regions, Gowon would not have had to do it all over again with Decree 14. Ironsi met 4 Regions that were controlling their resources, he left 4 Regions controlling their resources. What the 4 Region's did not have under Ironsi was democracy as it was military rule

Gowon came in and met 4 Regions that controlled their resources, and left 12 states, none of which controlled their resources

It was this shameful act of Gowon of using Decree 14 and 15 to destroy the 4 Regions, created 12 states, sieze their resources, which went against everything agreed at Aburi, that directly led to the civil war
