Ajibaiye:Those e-hailing companies no dey quick respond to change in fuel prices when it has to do with increasing. There might be a little or no significant shortage in net profit, but at least, these e-hailing companies need to stop pretending that they're not aware of the situation in the country. If they adjust fare prices to the current reality, all of us go know nah. But you see these people ehn, they are more concerned about not losing riders, hence, keeping fare prices low. ![]() Much respect, boss. |

tomsniel:Ibadan is not for e hailing service it's a total waste of time coupled with frustration and regret. Tin sized cars called Micra are everywhere with ridiculous fees, okada and Keke littered everywhere too and the funniest part, they have no restrictions at all. You will not see more than 3k,2k order coupled with bad roads ...I was there I ran away |

tomsniel:I base in ibadan and I am driving sometimes in the evening and weekends... the problem of ibadan Is that there are alternatives to bolt or uber which are Okadas and Keke plying all roads and these brings about competition between bolt and other transports... there is no how you won't be fraustrated doing bolt in ibadan but still yet there are ways to go about it... select the order you pick and be patient with picking orders... we can connect just reach me on 081..04392500 |

Muhammadson2020:The "hazard" isn't peculiar to this business....all drivers in Lagos face dis hazard (Uber driver or not). Offence of one way in Lagos is a maximum conviction...it's a big slaughter for traffic officers... Any driver will be lucky if 25k go bail m comot o..... |

yemitexcel:Exactly, I don't care about acceptance score so I am very selective in my rides.. 7-10 good rides can fetch me 40k with 16k fuel |

knyte:You'll be balling in ibadan be that, living around agodi or bodija Every market will have its peculiarities and there'll be a hack to it. Once you find that hack, you'll find a place to operate in that system. With what you're earning I'll gladly trade places with you |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by knyte(m): 3:26pm On Jun 25, 2025 |
XGhost:Yea I mostly take rides with good roads and minimal traffic (bodija, Ikolaba, Akobo, Oluyole axis). Any trip apart from the listed places that comes up na bolt matter be that😁 |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by XGhost: 8:08pm On Jun 25, 2025 |
knyte:I think that's like the upscale part of town. I played into ibadan for a few days last week, Ikolaba. The other time I was there I did a few trips on bolt out of curiosity mostly. It wasn't bad, UI to Shoprite, then got a trip back to UCH then from that Ikolaba area to some other part of town, from there I just continued to back to Lagos. Free roads, except close to that Stadium then Shoprite area slight hold up. It was 😊 |

Kingbrighto:You mean you drove left towards the university road from the Herbert Macaulay Way? Were you trying to connect Herbert Macaulay Way to go to Jibowu or what? Because if you meant to go to Unilag or Yaba area and were using your maps, it would have taken you through Tobi Lawal road. And if it's the latter, did you see any other car drive through that route? The way forward to avoid situations like this is to wait and observe the road to see if people are successfully driving through the road and the second option is to ask people around. Also, was your glass wound down? How come they're dragging the steering with you? One rule I give myself is to always wind up my glasses anytime I want to do something unusual or find myself in a suspicious place, that way, I can use the maximum speed and get out of the situation. |

XGhost:Yea you get the drift, plus once it's 4-5pm I am done for the day. Some bolt drivers like evening/night drives but at the end it's whatever works for you |

| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by WareLogMan(m): 6:12am On Jun 26, 2025 |
knyte:Not in ibadan will you make 40k with 16k fuel I'm not capping A 20km trip in ibadan is less than 5k gross, not even net. On indrive 4k. The only interesting is that all trips comes with free roads Except you are using micra as bolt, you can't make 40k with 16k fuel. |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by WareLogMan(m): 6:22am On Jun 26, 2025 |
PuZZyNegro:I think this was where they nabbed him That's the only valid one way around yaba tech and unilag at the moment. He should have negotiated his way out. That's was sad |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by yemitexcel(m): 8:28am On Jun 26, 2025 |
WareLogMan:As someone that drives in ibadan, possibility of him making 40k from 16k fuel is 50/50 and also the kind of car he uses, maybe Toyota yaris or any small car and also his negotiating power because even me, if I buy fuel 10k into my car. I must make times 2 of it if not times 3. I don't pick any ride and any ride I pick I will negotiate and if you are not ok I cancel it. Because I will let you know that where am taking you to, there is no guarantee that I wíll see ride after I drop you and I will let you know that even Okada will not collect the amount on the app to the destination. Ibadan minimum rude is 1700 with a bonus of 300 to 400 and they expect driver to go and pick a rider and drop a rider for 1300 when 1 litre of fuel is 1k, is better the rider takes bike or maruwa if he's not ready to add at least 800 upward. |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by PuZZyNegro: 9:14am On Jun 26, 2025 |
WareLogMan:Their office is at that Edmund Crescent. They will not accept any negotiation. I've picked a woman at that Lastma office on Edmund Crescent that Lastma billed 200k for one way. She said her driver was driving on Montgomery road and turned left at the end of the road to join Herbert Macaulay Way. They clearly saw the no left turn sign there and she told the driver not to turn but he did and the car was impounded. Those people at Yaba are taking you to their office straight. Last week Friday, I picked a rider inside the Lastma office, Oshodi. Her Lexus 350 was impounded at Mile 12 because she stopped on the service lane to buy pineapple and those task force hilux blocked her. When they asked her to settle, she said she only had 5k to give, they refused and booked her 50k in their office. This woman works with civil defense but those Lastma guys didn't send her ID card. So, it's not about being an ehailing driver or not, they impound any and every car. I've even seen them hold Gwagon on that bridge heading to Ojota from Maryland. |

So bolt now do fastest finger first. Request never enter finish, I saw a driver has picked this trip. It's truly finshed 😂😂 |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by WareLogMan(m): 10:56am On Jun 26, 2025 |
yemitexcel:This is Valid For someone like me that does like to negotiate I just accept the trip and moove on till I'm done with whatever It is that took me to ibadan Ibadan ehailing is not profitable, na waste of time, fuel and resources. Unlike 2023. |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by WareLogMan(m): 11:02am On Jun 26, 2025 |
PuZZyNegro:Should have used mcniel road instead But private vehicles dey use that end of Montgomery road link herbert maucauly normal normal but you must be familiar with the lastma officials there. Na only public bus fit use that lane and won't be touched. That woman whey park for road buy stuffs, what an abnormal behaviour. Normalcy as regards such act must be restored, I'm not sorry for her. |

Apart from weekends, rides are scarce and far between in Ibadan. Ibadan is not a rich city like the centre of excellence that attracts comforts and meanwhile hardly can you get a consistent customer. Someone may ask for your number so you can pick him or her up next time, I make bold to say you may not hear from the person who was boasting of his or her constant use of bolt for 2 months |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by knyte(m): 3:19pm On Jun 26, 2025 |
Fatbam005:. You are correct , Ibadan is truly big but then it still depends on your scope area of work and where you reside too. All in all, na calculation be everything. Don't accept rides that takes you somewhere you'll hardly get rides back. |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by yemitexcel(m): 4:35pm On Jun 26, 2025 |
knyte:That's the scope, don't accept every order because there are some locations you will not see ride coming back... price of bolt from bodija to train station is between 6k to 7100 and you will drive 35 min and you can't smell a ride till you get back to Ojoo or UI and imagine taking such ride and you collect app price which you will definitely use 5litre go com, but when u see the price u may feel is a good price not knowing that u are just wasting ur fuel but if u negotiate further to 10k then with bolt commission u can still keep 4k to 5k for 1hr drive, because bodija to train station back to bodija is one hour drive... so in ibadan you have to use your head if not, you will borrow money to fix your car once he breaks down. |
