U can't just put up structures wherever u like in Lagos, the state is already experiencing flooding, no come deh build illegal structures
Mr man, you don't put down a structure without a demolition order. It's either you can't read or you have comprehension issues.

I had a close Igbo friend who relocated to the East to set up a paint manufactureing outfit few years ago, he was kidnapped twice in a span of a year and half, he has relocated back to Abuja again which he now terms his home for ever, and guess the worst part he is now flatly broke while the wife left him because she advised against the relocation earlier but refused to heed her advice
Can you prove this story?
Does it mean he doesn't know how to protect himself in his own hometown or what?
Starting to think that most of these stories you guys drop here are nothing but cock and bull whatever

Honestly, Obi would have made more sense devoid of pity and sympathy calling if he had told us, bringing out the documents (like CofO and Survey) establishing the fact that “his brother” truly owns the property occupied and demolished .
I remembered how the Yorubas cried to the whole world how the north was ruthless to them after June 12 and we most of their southern brothers believed them not knowing that the north knows them better than all of us.

The north will succeed in getting power back one day and you will come here to be emotional like Peter Obi wishing to get the pity of other Nigerians.

Time takes care of every nonsense and hypocrisy.

What is the younger brother of Peter Obi doing in Lagos?
After all, Peter Obi made Anambra far better than Dubai, London and America

They hate Lagos but can't stop going to Lagos
They envy Lagos but can't stop going to Lagos
They want the destruction of Lagos but can't stop going to Lagos

The structure has being there for 10 years+, the government ought to have briefed the owner before demolishing it. Don't be inconsiderate because of hate and politics. What goes around comes around.
In all honesty,I feel for the owner of the property but looking at the pictures very well you'll notice the properties have been evacuated, apart from the structure, nothing is inside the property meaning that they have been briefed before then, that's why they removed everything in the building.

angry angry huh huh Ssshhhh! OBEY the law of yo host.Soludo demolished properties here in Anambra. So because the said properties belong to AGBOTIKUYO'S BRO,DEY SHOULDN'T DEMOLISH IT? Lawless people sad >:

The greatest mistake one will make is investing in real estate in Lagos or buying property...the state is a state of touts and gangsters from driving on the roads to the way things are done ....everything in Gangnam style....

Well, will thy listen, don't invest in Lagos real estate or be wise when investing ...or things like this would happen

They will wake up one day and demolish houses and businesses
Re: Peter Obi Laments Demolition Of Brother's Business Property In Lagos (Photos) by GloriousGbola:
Interesting because the demolition is by unnamed elements.

He is not naming lagos state so the implication is this is likely the outcome of a court case.

In any event any demolition by lagos is preceded by multiple warnings.

Since Peter obi has however declined to name the brother, the location or even post pictures of the site before demolition, this is just clout chasing for his ignorant mob.

And somehow there are no videos of when the demolition was happening

No one denied the fact that his brother owned the property.

Why derailing the issue?

I'm not an Obi supporter and I don't want him to be president but you need to be objective! Assuming but not conceding that his brother doesn't have title to the land, does that justify demolishing his house without notice? Does that justify suing "unknown persons" when his brother should've been served with court papers? His brother wasn't given any chance to prove he has valid title. There's something known as right to fair hearing.. his brother wasn't heard at all, talk less of fair hearing

Pathetic, I just hope this isn't politically motivated.
Victim mentality mode activated.

Nzougbu nzougbu cannot help but claim victim. Lagos like every state in Nigeria demolishes all kinds of illegal buildings without proper documentation, failed integrity test and a host of other reasons. But Obi must use this case to create sympathy for himself.

There is demolition going on in all the states in the south east yet no Igbo person has tribalized those ones

Once he has Lagos State building approval when it was built, he has a great legal claim. But If PO's brother never obtained building permit, it will be. Painful legal loss.
That a building has stood for 15 years really doesn’t matter if it was built without permit . It will eventually be brought down . I don’t support Obi again but I would want to lean towards him on this . Government should not be demolishing properties too without due process . Not cool . Shows targeted intent .

My only one question is , is it only Peter Obi's brother building/property that was singlehandedly demolished in that area?

Modified: Wondering why some people are trying to shut my question down.

Peter Obi has been governor in Nigeria before, would any governor demolish buildings without serving them notification? Did he also demolish buildings in Anambra state without prior notification?

Attaching unnecessary emotions to issue won't make one to have balanced view about issue
That’s why no one rates you here. If you are not able to read clearly, why not simply avoid making comments that betray lack of education. Did you not read clearly where he stated that there were no documents to prove the action taken? Did you not read that the said “court document” was addressed to an unknown person? Did you not read where the said crane operator stated that he did not know who sent him there?

Why are you youths so horrible in the name of politics? Do you know what it takes to own a business, not to talk of owning properties in a highbrow area like Ikeja? It is so sad and shameful. The least you can do for yourself is to read carefully and with understanding before commenting.
