Floky215:Israel left Gaza in 2005 for peace to reign…?? Pls go and study history properly. They left Gaza, so who were the ones restricting the movement of Palestinians around Gaza, barring them from accessing places of worship, unlawfully detaining or better still kidnapping Palestinians from the streets, enforcing curfews, establishing military checkpoints to interrogate them unnecessarily. Not to mention the targeting of refugee camps in both Gaza and West Bank. Wo evidence full everywhere. I won’t engage you in further debate. I’ve derailed the thread enough. Odunayaw:It could be for the Dearsan OPV 76, given that it’s a vessel with modular design and can be retrofitted with weapons depending on the mission or roles that would be assigned to it. It could also be that NN intends to buy a corvette or two soon. The Navy is very serious about following its short term, mid term and long term goals in regards to modernization and based on what is in the long term plans, there is no saying there won’t be corvettes in the Nigerian Navy’s fleet.

bidex111:These 🤡 even filmed NAF Super-Tucano during Air raids. Despite failing to capture the bases, JAS achieved a significant success in the recent Baga and Ngoshe attacks. The equipment captured can help JAS launch more strikes, raise fighters morale and provide ISWAP fierce competition. With the recent outcomes in defferent theatres ; it's like our military is giving away equipmemt to the terrorists, troops morale is down and the top brass are clueless.

bidex111:TROOPS FOIL DEADLY ATTACK IN NIGER STATE, ENGAGE TERRORISTS IN HEAVY GUN BATTLE In a deliberate joint operation, troops of the Nigerian Army, in collaboration with the Air Component of the Nigerian Air Force, successfully thwarted an attempted incursion by terrorists into Bangi community in Mariga Local Government Area of Niger State on 24 June 2025 The operation, which was based on credible intelligence, led to troops engaging about 300 armed bandits in Kwanar Dutse Forest. The criminals had attempted a night-time transit towards Kwatankoro Forest, where they were reportedly planning coordinated attacks on surrounding communities or looking for a safe haven to evade the pressure from our operations in Zamfara State. However, their movement and actions were effectively disrupted by troops who engaged them in a fierce firefight that lasted over three hours. Sequel to the ground engagement by the Nigerian Army troops, the Nigerian Air Force conducted precision airstrikes on the terrorists’ withdrawal routes, delivering accurate heavy bombardments on identified terrorists’ locations. Although the exact number of casualties could not be ascertained, multiple blood trails along their escape routes presumably indicate significant enemy losses. Further operation is ongoing to ascertain the full extent of the damage inflicted on the terrorists. Regrettably, seventeen brave and gallant soldiers paid the supreme price during the encounter, while ten others sustained varying degrees of injury. The wounded personnel have been evacuated to a military medical facility, where they are receiving treatment and are in stable condition The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Oluwafemi Oluyede, has extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of our fallen heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in the service of our great country, Nigeria. The Chief of Army Staff also directed the military medical teams to ensure the best possible care for the injured troops. The relevant Nigerian Army departments have also been tasked to engage with the families of all our gallant warriors who have undoubtedly performed their duty, most admirably. The Nigerian Army remains resolute in its mission to secure all communities and protect the lives and property of all our citizens across the nation. The sanctity of our freedom shall not be mortgaged and the Nigerian Army, in collaboration with the Nigerian Navy, the Nigerian Air Force, other security agencies and of course, the great people of our nation will continue to work tirelessly to see an end to terrorism, banditry and other forms of criminality plaguing our society. Members of the public are hereby encouraged to continue to support the ongoing counter-terrorism efforts by providing timely information to security agencies by any means possible. bidex111:Seems BH/JAS and ISWAP are attacking NA to get stock to fight one another for supremacy. I tend to wonder if our SF do false-flag ops. Attack BH and make it look like ISWAP and vice versa, harass both for casualty sake. I'm an armchair general but I wish the employment of SF (Army) is beyond the ranger-style direct action. |

NAF DEEPENS STRATEGIC DEFENCE PARTNERSHIP WITH CHINA’S CATIC In a deliberate step to strengthen Nigeria’s defence architecture and advance the operational capabilities of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, on 25 June 2025, received the Chairman of China National Aero-Technology Import and Export Corporation (CATIC), Mr. Liu Yu, at Headquarters NAF, Abuja. The visit focused on consolidating ongoing projects, optimising the performance of CATIC-supplied platforms, and expanding cooperation in critical areas such as air capability development, logistics support, and technology transfer. Accompanied by CATIC’s Vice President, Mr. Li Houding, the Chinese delegation engaged in strategic discussions that reaffirmed a shared commitment to sustainable, mutually beneficial defence cooperation. As the NAF continues its modernisation drive, partnerships like that with CATIC are pivotal in building strategic autonomy, bolstering national defence, and projecting airpower effectively across all domains. #NAFPartnerships #DefenceDiplomacy #AirPower #StrategicAlliances #NAFModernisation #CATIC #HasanBalaAbubakar #NigeriaChinaRelations

bidexiii:It is good that commanders and men understand that they will be held accountable for any cowardice. However, it must not be allowed to descend into witch-hunting so that unit morale does not suffer. In addition, where there are consequences for poor performance, we must also ensure there is attractive incentive for brave actions and diligent service. |

FACT CHECK: No Evidence 173 Bandits Were Killed by Vigilantes in Shinkafi – Only DSS-HYBRID Operation Confirmed Claim: Several media platforms and online commentators have circulated reports claiming that 173 bandits were killed by local vigilante groups during an operation in Shinkafi Local Government Area of Zamfara State over the weekend. Verdict: ❌ False and Unverified. There is no evidence to support the claim that 173 bandits were killed by vigilantes. All available, verified information confirms that only one coordinated operation took place in Shinkafi during the stated period, and it was conducted by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) in conjunction with HYBRID Forces on June 23, 2025, not over the weekend as claimed. Full Report: Over the weekend, multiple reports surfaced online alleging that 173 bandits were neutralised by vigilante groups in Shinkafi, Zamfara State. These reports failed to provide any specific dates, names of the vigilante units involved, or verifiable images/videos to corroborate the alleged mass killing However, a review of reliable field intelligence obtained by Zagazola Makama, reveals that no such vigilante-led operation occurred in Shinkafi during the said period. Instead, the only confirmed and documented operation was carried out on June 23, 2025, by DSS operatives and HYBRID Forces, a trained counter-banditry group composed of former CJTF elements, targeting a known terror enclave of Bello Turji -led by notorious bandit commander Kachalla Yellow Danbokolo, a cousin and top field commander of Bello Turji. During the first wave of the operation, 25 bandits were confirmed killed, while several others were injured. Among the injured was Danbokolo himself, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds during a firefight as he led a counter-ambush against the advancing operatives. Danbokolo’s Flight and Final Moments: Following his injuries, Danbokolo was evacuated by his men in a desperate bid to save his life. Zagazola Makama tracked the sequence of his movements, pieced together through local sources and intercepted communications: He was first taken to Shanawa village, but the medical support there was inadequate. He was moved to Kuriyan Dambo, where he stayed for about a day and a half. Due to the lack of improvement, he was evacuated again to Maresuwa, where a local doctor treated him without success. Still deteriorating, Danbokolo was rushed to Burkawa, where further efforts failed. On the way to Baje, he reportedly lost consciousness and began showing signs he would not survive. He was finally moved to Kamarawa, where he died on July 26, 2025, three days after the initial attack. No other security or vigilante-led operation took place in the Shinkafi axis during this period. There is also no official statement or credible photographic/video evidence to support the claim of 173 bandit fatalities by vigilantes. Source; @Zagazola

bidexiii:Bello Turji Reportedly Reaches Out for Peace Following Death of Top Commander Danbokolo By: Zagazola Makama Multiple credible sources have revealed that notorious bandit kingpin Bello Turji is allegedly making overtures for peace in the aftermath of the death of his top field commander and cousin, Kachalla Yellow Danbokolo, who was recently neutralised by security operatives. Turji, one of the most wanted terror leaders in Nigeria’s North West, is said to be calling for a meeting with other bandit groups, reportedly to discuss the possibility of surrendering and entering into dialogue with the government of the three states of the North West. Sources said Turji’s sudden pivot toward peace may be directly linked to the loss of Danbokolo, who served as the engine of his terror network, orchestrating and executing violent raids, ambushes, and mass abductions across Zamfara, Sokoto, and Katsina States. “Turji was mostly the public face. It was Danbokolo who led the fighting forces, ran the logistics, and enforced their authority in the forest corridors. This is the first time he has been truly exposed. Without Danbokolo, his operational muscle is crippled,” said a source familiar with the group’s structure. Danbokolo was fatally wounded during a June 23 operation by the Department of State Services (DSS) and the HYBRID Forces in Chida village, Fakai District of Shinkafi LGA. He died three days later on June 26, after being moved across several villages in a failed attempt by his fighters to save his life. Sources believe Turji’s current overture may not be out of genuine repentance but a tactical response to mounting pressure and operational losses. Security agencies are yet to officially comment on Turji’s reported peace gestures, though analysts advise caution, warning that any engagement should be how to neutralize him. “Turji must not be forgiven. The government must reject his plea to surrender,”said the source. Source; @Zagazola

bidexiii:Man who fired the shot that killed Yellow Danbokolo is BASHIR MANIYA Bashir Maniya was not a name many expected to be on the side of justice. A former bandits’ kingpin once feared across Zamfara’s forests, Maniya had long abandoned his past and embraced a new life, this time fighting the very terror he once helped sustain. Maniya, embedded in a combat team that included DSS special team and HYBRID from Maiduguri, was inside one of the armored vehicles deployed in the operation deep in the Shinkafi-Fakai axis territory loyal to Bello Turji. The joint team targeted three major bandit camps, namely: Bello Turji’s camp located in Fakai forest near Dutsin Kuris, Shinkafi LGA, Zamfara State; Malam Ila’s camp in Kagara forest, Isa LGA, Sokoto State; Dan Bokolo’s camp, also situated in Fakai forest, Shinkafi LGA. In a dramatic twist of fate, it was this same reformed fighter who pulled the trigger that led to the death of the notorious bandit commander, Dan Bokolo. But in doing so, Bashir Maniya paid the supreme price. It was during this mission that Turji’s men ambushed the convoy. One of the armored vehicles overturned under fire, throwing the mission into chaos. Bashir Maniya, wounded but alert, sprang from the damaged vehicle and began to engage enemy fire while attempting to retreat. As he fled on foot, Maniya was pursued by Turji’s fighters. Despite sustaining injuries, he managed to kill three attackers and critically wound Yellow Dan Bokolo, reportedly hitting him in the leg. About 25 bandits were killed while the Nigerian security forces lost 13 men including 10 HYBRID forces and 3 other volunteers. But Bashir Maniya’s moment of defiance came at a heavy cost. He was surrounded, captured, and later beheaded by Turji’s forces. Turji confirms his death To eliminate any doubt, Bello Turji himself released a video claiming responsibility for Maniya’s death. In the footage, he paraded the wrecked armored vehicle and confirmed that Bashir Maniya was killed during the clash. The video also debunked false narratives circulating in some media circles, which claimed that local vigilantes were responsible for Yellow Dan Bokolo’s death. Those who took part in the Operation were HYBRID forces deployed from Maiduguri, Multiple security sources, including top members of the Zamfara State Security Guards (Askarawa), confirmed that no such vigilante operation took place in the area. Following his injuries, Yellow Danbokolo was evacuated by his men in a desperate bid to save his life. So apparently, some storytellers are using this same narrative but the other way round claiming that the vigilantes were the ones who heroically stormed Bello Turji’s enclave, chased down Dan Bokolo, shot him in the leg, killed him, beheaded him, and somehow still manage to killed over 173 fighters while Turji was watching and clapping for them. May his soul R.I.P Alongside those brave men who paid the supreme price. Source: @Zagazola

Malian Forces Crush Terrorist Column in Decisive Operation – Military Footage Emerges The Malian Armed Forces (FAMa) have reportedly dealt a major blow to terrorist elements operating within the country, destroying a convoy of fighters in what is described as a forceful and well-coordinated response. According to security sources and video evidence circulating online, the FAMa intercepted and neutralised a group of militants travelling on more than fifty motorcycles. The operation, believed to have taken place in central Mali, is said to have resulted in significant losses for the insurgents. “These terrorists, who sought to impose their law through fear, were decisively struck by the determined and well-prepared Malian forces,” said the sources. Images and footage from the aftermath, deemed too graphic by some outlets, show extensive destruction inflicted on the column, confirming the scale of the operation. Source: @Zagazola

bidexiii:Chai! I wish i could wave a magic wand and convert Mali in this report to Nigeria. Like i have said a few times, each consolidation of terrorist forces whether to launch an attack or to redeploy is an opportunity to inflict massive casualties on them. And this is not a matter of sending 2-3 tucanos to destroy a few bikes and cause the rest to scatter, this is a matter of enveloping them with a combination of ground and air elements, and decimating them. We must get them to where they are scared to gather in groups of more than 10-12. We certainly have more work to do in resourcing and training our forces to be able to achieve such exhaustive victories. Kudos to the Malians, at least this group of terrorists will not find their way across the border into Nigeria. |
