Lagos have become a very toxic environment for the igbos because of dirty nigerian politics I really pity any igbo person that is still investing heavily in that hateful and tribalistic environment the leaders that are leading that unfortunate state are still very far from civilisation despite all their exposure. |

Why are you politicising everything to stunt developments everywhere? Everywhere is being demolished in Ikeja and other places reason being; extension beyond setbacks and other reasons best known to them. Many high profile people are affected, even if Tinubu's properties or his associates contravene their law, they are pulling it down, not a personal thing. |

This is why I keep shouting any living soul of SE must align with north for 2027.The igbo man must not be the president in 2027.The igbo can negotiate for economic benefits only for 2027.The most important is to break off lagos monopoly on sea and air. This is what is carrying igbos to lagos and does already thr finding it difficult to leave because we are majority business men.We can negotiate this things to SE,SS and Abuja The SW has been the greatest enemy within to SE since the war.let stop pretending. The North is far better partner to igbos in everything c |

Streetinvestor2:SE and SS have 4 ports which is more than anywhere in Nigeria.. There's a port in Rivers state called "port Harcourt". There are also: Calabar port Onne port Warri port.. the only thing Lagos and the SW has over other regions is the spending power which means the buyers and consumers of most products in Nigeria is the SW.. A business person whose market is the SW will not import from the ports in the SE/SS regions then transport the goods to the SW to sell because that is waste of funds and will destroy the business before it starts.. you have never started or owned a business in your life so you don't understand how businesses work and make profits. |

It's just your last statement that makes all your previous epistle meaningless... Cos, it's negates all the statement you've made. Come to think of it..."no one is indispensable" why you people always act as if, the ibos exodus Lagos, Lagos would remain the same. We should not argue about this fact. [1quote author=Kusu12 post=135878791] For years, certain individuals have pushed the narrative that without their presence or contributions, Lagos would somehow collapse or stagnate. Yet, despite this rhetoric, Lagos continues to grow, innovate, and lead. It is a city that has stood the test of time—not because of any single group, but because of the collective strength, resilience, and diversity of its people. The fact remains: no one is compelled to live in Lagos. The city is open to all, but it owes no special debt to any particular group. Choosing to reside in Lagos is a personal decision, not an imposition. If anyone feels unwelcome or uncomfortable, they are free to explore other parts of the country or even the world. That’s the beauty of a democratic society and free movement. To suggest that Lagos would crash or cease to function without certain individuals or communities reveals not only a deep misunderstanding of economics but also a level of arrogance and entitlement. Cities like Lagos thrive because they are built on systems, institutions, and vision—not on the shoulders of any one person or group. Lagos is greater than any rhetoric. It has been shaped by history, fueled by enterprise, and sustained by governance. It will remain a beacon of opportunity and development for those who are willing to work, contribute, and respect the values that make it what it is. In the grand scheme of things, no one is indispensable. Lagos will always be Lagos.[/quote] |

Amotolongbo:Does it mean those who came to destroy too should not have the required documents to enforce their order, let stop supporting wrong behaviours. We not helping anybody by doing that cos when the table turns, the same treatment, abuse of human rights too would be display which is not right either. This is a common thing by those in power and are part of a godfatherism circle to abuse the power they have to extort and even, covert other people's property because of the access to power or political alignment. |

Don't forget that Lagos was a previous capital of Nigeria, being the first of everything good in Nigeria, technology, life, etc as a capital of a country. Fast forward to today. You cannot say, let Lagos be made for a particular tribe and let other leave. When it was the whole countries resources that was ploughed into making Lagos what it is today. Whosoever, that are the leaders today should take cognizance of this fact. That's why there is still that saying , "Lagos is a no mans land". But now indigenous are pushing against that statement, forgetting that they allowed other peoples money to develop their land. Let us be sincere to ourselves, the tribe that is keeping lagos afloat are not the indigenes but the largely other tribes, and let us all know that those tribes are not the foreigners, or the oyibos. codemaniacs: |

If I am in power and wants to punish my perceived enemy. I will make sure I add others to the punishment so it will not look like a vendetta. Who knows I might even go back and settled those I punished with him |

You have said it all....no one is indispensable.... So no group or tribe should be directly or indirectly be repeatedly be giving the idea or mindset to live Lagos. Let them stop blacklisting a particular tribe in Lagos. Kusu12: |

Obi! Obi!! Obi!!! Import and export. Always playing the victim. If that property which looks like a squatters abode really belongs to your proxy brother, then take your certificate of occupancy to the court and sue! The press is not a court of competent jurisdiction. Go to court and sue the state government if your documents are complete instead of pouring ashes on your head and lamenting for sympathy. |

Any Ibo man who votes for APC in the next general election MUST require a DNA Test. APC government has been targeting Ibos in most of the demolitions we have seen in the last 2 years. I am Yoruba but the truth has to be told. We need to flush out these perennial robbers for good! |

Ifyz0001:And stop acting like Lagos will collapse if you leave—nothing will happen. Nobody invited you in the first place. No one is being targeted. Demolitions happen across the country, which affects all people, including in your own region, and we don’t hear you crying about being targeted there. But the moment it affects you in other regions, you start shouting ethnic victimisation. It seems you cling to a victim mentality just to score cheap political points and paint others in a bad light. |
