This morning, i came across a post on facebook. A woman shared that she plans to visit 10 countries this year—and she’s already been to 7.

Out of curiosity, I decided to check the comments. Posts like that usually attract a lot of attention. That’s when I saw a comment that stopped me cold and worried 🤦

This lady named Aniberry Ejike wrote that she hasn’t traveled in 5 years because of her marriage and kids.

She said publicly that marriage is not for someone like her, that the only reason why she’s still married to her husband is because she doesn’t want her kids to grow up without their father or have different dads.

That’s all. That’s her reason for staying in that marriage.

I visited her profile, she has a beautiful family. A husband who seems fully present,
and yet, deep down, she’s nursing the idea of walking away—not because her husband failed her, not because he isn’t providing or doing his part—but simply because she wants to travel freely. God🤦

And she said all of this online without f'ear or respect for her husband.

If she can say this in public, imagine what the man is dealing with in private.

Let this sink in: a stranger’s vacation pictures is what is pushing #Aniberry into b'reaking her beautiful home.

We are seriously living in d'angerous times.

Please be careful what you feed your mind. Social media is not worth your peace or your family.

People just write anything just so others will see that they wrote something.

Well, she chose the wrong man to have as a husband... She should've gotten married to a traveller like her, in that way, it'd have been easier for them to travel together and explore new places just like that Ghanaian content creator called Wode Maya and his wife... They either travel together or individually and they seem happy because that's what they love and brought them together.

But this lady here decided to get married to a man whom she wasn't compatible with and now she's filled with regrets.

If my wife posts trash like that she won't even last up to 6pm in my house that day!

These days people just post whatever nonsense they like online just to chase clout

This is what I've been preaching about on Nairaland and ladies on NL will say I'm insulting ladies.

Firstly, this lady belonged to the street and she's not supposed to be domesticated by a man.

A look at the woman's profile, she claim to be a seer and a Godly religious person, that's to say she used the religion manipulation game which I talked about in my post here: https://www.nairaland.com/8367785/religion-game-street-ladies-use

From her profile posts, she look very happy in the marriage but deep inside her she's just deceiving the innocent, handsome man into marriage for societal validation and I talked about that here: https://www.nairaland.com/8375720/men-before-marry-check-she

Ladies should stop deceiving innocent men into marriage. The innocent man will have to suffer the consequences of her past because he married what belonged to the community.

This post was dormant on the page Facebook page I got it from but as the Lord liveth the post will go viral till the husband sees it and that marriage must will terminate cos I hate to see innocent men suffer in marriage. She must leave the man and look for her spec of man from the streets she belong to...

I don't get it, since when does being an explorer who wants to travel the world means you belong to the streets?

Do you even know the difference between a traveller and a street girl? Don't you ever see couples or single people touring the globe for leisure? Some people would even take a yearly leave from their workplace just to travel around the world.

I fail to see the issue.
At least she is still "happily married" like many other Nigerian women. Her reason is not even bad. She loves to travel and marriage/motherhood is a huge sacrifice that takes away your autonomy in various ways.

Some of the married men that will come here to bark and threaten heaven&earth, their wives are tolerating them for worse reasons. They know it. That is why they cannot cross border with her. So calm down, no be by all this one.

Allow women marry. All of us must marry okay?

What exactly do you want from this lady? I saw you post on the other thread this same story. If they arrest you now, you go de claim victim. Take this post off and leave the woman alone. You are a busy body.

For her to say that she doesn't want her kids having different dads... I perceive she wants to live wild in fulfilling her sexual fantasies while travelling and not minding getting pregnant in the processes.

Obviously... She is gradually strolling out of the marriage. If any man approach that lady with a promise to marry her and take her to France, Spain, etc. she will disappear without a second thought. It's a matter of opportunity.

The closing part of my statememt was sarcasm and me mimicking the male chants on here, but since your comeback to me seems to be your opening question __I will go ahead and answer you.

1) I am not against women tolerating men. My post have always been clear. I am against the concept of endurance to INFIDELITY and DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. Please ensure you quote me correctly in future.

2) There is a difference between tolerance, compromise and endurance. Tolerance is understanding all humans are infallible and the wrongdoer is open to change. Compromise is you mustn't always have your way. Endurance is continuous wrongdoing with hope that your spouse (most times wife) has no choice but to put up with it.

3. What I see in her post is COMPROMISE. She loves traveling, but she understands family comes first. Most married people would at some point miss the autonomy that comes with being single. Women especially as we are the ones saddled with fulltime caregiving. The problem is some people will read her post as freedom to go sleep about. Maybe because that is what their brains are up to most times.

4. I fail to see what you are calling on her husband for. She didn't speak ill of her husband. She didn't speak ill of (her) marriage.


5. Her saying she doesn't want her kids to have different dads means she still wants more kids and companionship even while traveling. So her major miss was marrying a man who isn't into traveling. But even if she did, children make you miss out on a lot of fun except you have resources to mechanise and outsource recurring household tasks.

6. What she has is better than that of many women who are with their husbands for sapa.

You think so? Several marriages are parking out because of this situation she just identify, "they want to marry yet, still want to enjoy luxury of freedom", most especially from we men.

Marriage is meant for responsible man and who woman, who are 100 % ready, to trade off their freedom for immediate family.

Seriously ladies are really confused beings. Funny part is they believe they are readily available men to rush them for marriage immediately they are out of their marriage with kids.

If you see the kind of desperation these set of ladies exhibit while hunting for husband eh and the same lady will be tired of the marriage within 2 years because of NOTHING.

I had a lady friend who got married at the age of 37 and within 6 months when I had a discussion with her, she told me she's already tired of her marriage and she was asking me the benefits of marriage cos she doesn't see anything special about marriage. I inquired from her if there's any major issue or abuse from the husband, she said NO but she's not just connected to the marriage. This is someone that have been hustling including prayer and fasting looking for a man.

Marriage for most ladies is just for societal status. The sad thing is that they become problem to the young man.

Stay out of marriage if u are not ready for the responsibilities.
