Locally welded doors are very good, they could be considerably cheaper than the imported types. Local doors could also be made to be specially tough, depending on what the user has in mind in terms of security. The only drawback with locally made doors is the lack of finishing quality, especially when placed side by side with imported iron doors.

When I was building my house I initially installed a locally made metal door as the front door,.

The door was double plated with saw dust between the plates. Even though it was rugged and strong, I still had reservations about the finishing.

And it made a squeaky noise upon opening and closing which I found irritating.

I had to change it to foreign copper cast down that was aesthetically pleasing and still serve the purpose of Security.

If you are buoyant financially you can use 16mm but on a standard for bungalow 12mm is good, while some people use 10mm.

10mm is 133pcs

12mm is 93pcs

16mm is 52pcs.
