I hope they will not be horded by their distributors in Nigeria so as to resell them.
Re: Multichoice Slashes Decoder Price To ₦10,000 by Nobody:
Bring back the eponymous TSTV.

Healthy competition is all we need.

On internet TV, DSTV's showmax which I currently subscribed to is not good enough. This is also a petition to make DSTV like the type of satellite TV in America where you can order any programme or movie on demand. Or we simply have the eponymous TSTV back with more tech like American TVs. I didn't quite watch TV in the UK, though I know some have decoders there, and I don't know much about the tv licence fuss.

DSTV needs to have an app showing programme schedule too, I understand DSTV magazine of their early days is no longer possible cos they have millions of customers and as such distributing magazines would be a logistic dilemma. Make NIPOST great again or a service like DSTV should have a programme app instead.

Electricity is not stable, yet you pay a lot for tv subscription; you are basically paying for a service not delivered. Make it tv on demand, please!

There's no way lower decoder price will attract more subscribers.

Whoever brought out such idea needs to be fired.

We want to ensure our customers feel appreciated and have access to the best entertainment every day. The ‘We Got You’ campaign is about making premium content more accessible and showing that DStv offers something for everyone, not just football fans.

Your customers have a dish already which means THE GAME IS TO KEEP FLEECING people after they buy the dish

Proliferation of affordable broadband internet will end their monopoly.
If you are in Abuja, try Verse telecoms
njokuuche77:
Good they should do same to subscription
We need cheaper access to watch varieties
You hiked prices three times, lost millions of customers, and now want to “reward loyalty”?
This isn’t appreciation. It’s survival mode.
Glad the price is down, but Nigerians deserve consistent value not just when profits crash.

Una go soon dey dash people. The DSTV Explorer decoder is N250k.....on top of N40k monthly subscriptions. Wicked South Africans. In the western world, decoder is free, just do 12 months contract.

I don port go MTN fibre and free to air TV stations plus YouTube, netflix and prime. Still way cheaper than dstv

Mumu people.. even if dem do pay as you go now, he don late. I wonder where they're getting their marketing/sales advice. They are just waking up after they have lost the bulk of the market share to competition.

Are they still giving free one month subscription for first time users? If they does, then I can rush and buy new decoder and dump it after one month then continue the circle.

I subscribe dstv because of the Israeli war.

And I believe a lot of Nigerians did the same. Reasons they are bringing down the decoder.

But unfortunately the war has ended and many Nigerians will not renew

DStv is feeling it badly. They upgraded my plan by themselves. Some stations that shouldn't be showing on my package are showing. Third time this has happened.

Increase the decoder price and reduce the subscription fees. That will be better.

Which one be FTA decoder again na!

What does it show?
masterfactor:
DStv are not serious, you want me to buy decorder 10,000 and pay subscription of 30,000. When they are serious they will let them know. As far as am concerned, I am pro FTA, since I started using FTA decorder, I am at peace, have already discarded my DSTv decorder.
